Hello!
I'm a long-time lurker, now deciding to join and start posting. I've been using a das that I got as a birthday present for years now and I'm finally buying more keyboards. I'm planning on getting a KBC poker 2 with browns from one of your lovely members (QTan) that I'll be using for work where I'm a "Technical Consultant" (read: does everything).
I'm extremely interested in building my own 60% keyboard with a teensy 3 or some other micro board. I've got some basic electronics experience from highschool (with breadboards, soldering and whatnot) and can do mathy circuit diagrams. I first heard about this place from ripster and I've been coming around every so often to read up on your exploits and look at all the pretty keyboards.
My personal keyboard aesthetic goes toward clean, modern, and minimalistic designs. As cool as the skull keycaps are I'm afraid I don't see myself using them very often. I'd be too afraid of wearing them down and I doubt they'd fit well with what I want to do to my boards. I've been pretty inspired by matt3o's posts on his custom projects.
