I've tried to this "new" test site.

79172-0

This was done with the following setup:
  • ErgoDox
  • ErgoClears (62g spring, lubed)
  • Colemak layout (same as before)

As you can see, it is not the keyboard or switches that makes typist, but raw skill and perseverance in training.
Even a dyslectic like me can learn to (somehow) touchtype, and results are much better then handwriting :-)

Gotta follow the format. I'm only adding scores to the leaderboard that use the test provided in the opening thread. You should also note that the actual test you took doesn't appear in the screenshot you provided =/

It would be a lot easier if you didn't change the 'official' test 3 times.

I don't recall ever changing the test to Type Racer. It's only been changed once, and that's to the test that's currently up =p

And "official" is only in the title of the thread. The test hasn't been stated official. The word "official" actually hadn't been stated 'til you mentioned it xD

There's a chance another test and another leaderboard will be made should I stumble upon something better. If you want to be on the current leaderboard, though, you do have to follow the format and you do have to take the same test as everybody else.

80G SPRINGSGhetto greens?! You're a machine. Literally. You'd have to be the Terminator programmed to type people to death to get that score whilst requiring that much force. Insane.

As he said, I love building boards and hence why all my boards are made by me, I like clicky switches and harvesting Cherry MX switches from TVS-e gold boards (I was in India before coming to Johannesburg) and getting springs from OriginativeCo is the cheapest (Granted a little tedious) option for me.

Tried typing with PBT keycaps for the first time. They're really different from ABS and I kinda like 'em. The spacebar feels and sounds especially different.

My accuracy suuucks.
