To people who put the feet up on keyboards..

I just don't think it's right. Every single case that i have to find always has to be high profile and never low profile without feet.
By default, most keyboards are on a angle.

You can clearly see on this keyboard that there is a angle.

And to people who put up the feet for others... why? Just why?

Personally i'm not a fan of keyboard feet at all. This is why i prefer sandwich cases because they simply don't ome with feet and are easier to install in my opinion.
Putting the feet up makes my hands tired a lot more easily and allows for slower typing.
It's not ergonomic at all, it's made for non-blind typists so they can see the keys more easier.

It depends on your posture, hand position, desktop height, chair.... lots of things.  I prefer flat myself.  But I can use it with feet up with sculpted keycaps

If you don't have any hands, it's either your feet or your nose. Sometimes comfort has nothing to do with it.

Here is a legitimate answer. It really depends on the keyboard. Some feel better with some lift in the back, some others feel better with no lift at all. Some have legs that are very long or even can be adjusted to several heights.
The height of the desk, your chair, your posture at the keyboard; these are all factors. It's not just "feet" being the issue.

I have a keyboard that someone was literally using as a footrest - maybe that influenced how I read the topic, which was basically the same as you did.

It took me ages to clean the hair and food out of the keyboard, and to find a replacement switch (an unusual switch type), but now it works perfectly.

Don't put your feet on keyboards, people, they are not designed for that!

Not that I disagree with your opinion...but personally I don't care whether it is feet up or not..I care whether it is comfortable for me..

I'm a touch-typist and having the keyboard with feet up can be more comfortable for me depending on the weight of the switch, and certain keyboards I can hear the key pressing through the table which I don't like, even with a mat; the feet can help with that.

I also think that high-profile cases are more pleasing aesthetically, and make more sense as low-profile cases allow for more dirt and other particles to enter more easily.

The tilt and curve is to compensate for your fingers moving in their natural arc/range of motion, otherwise you end you end up stretching to reach them.

Sorry, but ergonomically, flat is not better.

I used to always put up the feet, now I never do. Unless they have two-part feet, in which case I often put up the smaller ones.

I don't end up stretching to reach the keys flat. When the feet is up, i have to stretch to reach the keys.

Most people do not sit with their keyboard low enough. This means the arms stretched out of instead of down. It is easier to type on an angled keyboard in this position, particularly if you do not have long fingers to easily reach the back of the board.

Now if the keyboard is nice and low allowing the hands to be over it instead almost on the same plane, then a flat profile or very low angle is superior.
