Have you ever got a complaint from neighbours because of how loud you were?

Obviously with cherry mx reds in a large house I don't get complained at all by neighbours... but my sister once did get complained on.

She gives me a headache EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.[b/] Whenever my parent's aren't home, she proceeds to put the volume up to 50, and then play on the drums really loudly, on hard average. [b/] Not fun.

I heard one of the neighbours go " TURN THAT DOWN YOUNG LADY" and then she immediately proceeded to turn it down to 40 instead of max.

By 70 she'll need it that loud just to hear it.

Kind of yes, when I was a teen (about 10-15 years ago) I used to play with nitro R/C cars a lot and if you've ever heard them, you'd know that they're not quiet.  If not, this should give you an idea.

Anyways, something I always did was to make sure to play with them well within daily hours so like from 12-6pm usually not even that late but sometimes.
Well with me already putting in the effort to keep my play time to daily hours, hopefully you can understand my frustration when the neighbors started complaining anyways.
I would very politely state that it's difficult to go further out to play with them as there was quite a bit of gear I needed to have around to keep them running and the fact that I do already try my best to keep it to reasonable hours. This wasn't too bad with most neighbors and they thought about it and maybe reluctantly gave in but there was one neighbor that would just freak the **** out and I explained the same thing but be more stern that I'm well within my rights to play with them.
I personally found it this one time amusing because they got all high and mighty and threatened to call the police finally but I just told them politely to do so and then they never bothered me again. I presume that the police also told them that I'm legally allowed to play within that time frame and that there was nothing they could do.
Lucky for them, the hobby didn't last much longer than that as nitro is pretty expensive and I have a short attention span.

Yes, most Friday and Saturday nights we used to go to a particular friends house when I was in high school. Some of my friends would bring their massive event quality speakers and DJ equipment. We would then take pingas, speed and drink all whilst blaring hardstyle into the neighborhood.

Dam right we fought for our right to party, too bad it was at the expense of his neighbors sanity. Now I wont even turn the music up in my house whilst cleaning during the day on a week day.

Oh how times change.

Have you ever got a complaint from neighbours because of how loud you were?

Well, not me. But one of my Aunt's kids came to visit and threw a wall shaking tantrum over having a bath. Our then neighbor called the police to our front door, fearing they were overhearing a child abuse situation.

I'm still not sure if my Aunt was more embarrassed than the police officers were amused
