I don't think I ever said they were high end? Although they are not thin either. They are in fact 1.5MM. Tai Hao is odd because one cap ranges from .08 to 1.8MM depending on where you measure it. Those certainly are not high end either. I just figured these were good for people on a budget. Not some junk. You can find plenty of $30 sets that are honestly unusable. Amazon is full of those. Last post: Kat is not cheap. A full set runs about $160. I probably should not be saying this but I sort of bribed someone to get Milkshake this time. It cost me plenty. Although I am comfortable with the transaction. GMK is most certainly very high end. I personally just prefer PBT. Actually I really like vintage Cherry Pom and if one is smart they can get a board for $10. Otherwise it could run you $250+. New caps from SP are high end PBT but now I feel their QC is gone. Crooked and cut off fonts ETC. The plastic is fine but the fonts have been messed up lately. I am very happy with sets 3 years old. There are more lower end sets than high end sets and way more garbage, I thought I just picked a couple of good values. So people do not just go flush $30. Since if they are spending $30 it might be a lot to them. Conversely, those spending $180+ on caps it might not be a big deal to them.
I saw a "special" SP set and they want $5,000! I will not even do that. That is crazy. There was another high end company I forgot that I like, it starts with the letter "B". anyone know? Those are good. Anyways, I did not mean to compare them to nearly $200 sets. I just meant they were not junk. They are actually pretty decent. I hope we can all agree on that. I am not obsessed with them either. I just wanted to point out a good deal. you know, like how people point out coupons.
I am however obsessed with high end novelty caps. Like resin, wood, precious metals and such. I do not speak of it much because I really do not want to share my "sources" for those. Not to be a jerk but some things are private. Well, that is about it. I hope someone enjoys these per my recommendation at least. I never alluded that they were "high end", however. A good "value", indeed. In fact I shall not even be returning the set I just purchased. I will give them to someone or something. I feel good enough about them to put my name behind them. IE, I do not give junk presents. I really don't think we can say much more about these
