Wow, I'm curious to know if the edges have cut into your wrists? What made the previous sharper-corner rests uncomfortable? The rest you posted has a significant contour and drop-off.

Maybe it's an issue with my chair/table height or distance between the two, or placement of the wrist rest, who knows, but when I use wrist rests with sharp corners either my palms or wrists often sit right on those edges. It's very uncomfortable.

I can see this now, even if it's just resting your arms with fingers off the keys. I'll keep this in mind for future designs!

There is some really great info here. Thanks for writing everything up and even showing the progress photos.

Very impressive time frame! Nice build.

Amazing work. Thank you so much for open sourcing the design.

Thanks all! There is a bit of cleanup I need to do on the github README and add the wrist rest among other things.

There's currently an IC close to GB for the JP-02 https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=110439.0 that is derived from this JP-01 design. Disclaimer: I'm not running the GB but helping as I can. The original designer of the Arisu, FateNozomi, and @robotictomato are also helping out.

Is the JP-2 case based on your design?

There goes another $500 or so.

It looks pretty damn good. One wish I had though was some more exciting color choices for the cases, but I understand how that might not be feasible while keeping the total order size manageable.
