I think the render looks great. I also think cerakote is very hard to do well. In theory, it's a great idea. In practice, it's a nighmare finish to get up to "luxury" standards, and fitment issues will occur unless your guy masks very carefully.
Source: have 4 cerakoted boards. Had to wait almost 2 years to get the finish right on one of them.
Yes, I've also heard horror stories.
The company I am using is
very well set up. They run up to 1600 parts a day (mostly production gun parts) -They have in house glass bead blasting (very fine oxide grit, can't remember exactly) so no contamination for sure, and they are extremely picky.
As for fit issues, well we machine in house, so can we also control and change the sizes of any fit together parts so the coating wont affect the fit tolerances.
