ABOUT



I am a photographer based in Manila, Philippines. I've been heavily interested with GMK keycaps for a couple of months now.
As I was browsing my portfolio, this particular photo captured my imagination.
I took this photograph in Asakusa, Japan last February 2020 before the pandemic happened.
This photograph reminds me of the division of human vs. nature, the life of the Earth, and the birth of the human race.



COLORS



I used the colors of my photograph as I color GMK EARTH TONES.
I call it "EARTH TONES" as I portray the symbolism of each elements seen on the photograph.
No Greens, as I symbolize the dramatic dying greens of the Planet Earth.



Please note that all colors are digital representations of a physical color sample and will likely vary slightly in the actual product.

The base kit colors inspired by the symbolisms of Human, Water and Land.




Oxidane (Latin Kit)





Baybayin (Sublegends)

Baybayin is one of the Philippines' oldest writing systems and has existed even during pre-colonial times.
Choosing to add Baybayin sublegends is quite personal to me as I feel
that I am able to represent my country with pride and honor even in this small way.



Baybayin has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent times and
I am hoping that these keycaps will serve as both guide and inspiration to those who wish to learn it.

The design study for my novelties was heavily influenced by Michaelangelo's famous painting "The Creation".

I really really like the colors. Would be totally in just for that.

But the novelties don't really fit the theme too well I think. They feel a bit random and out of place imho.

Love the inspo and picture. My only concern is whether the novelties are possible for GMK to produce? The pentagon novelty in particular seems too thin for GMK to product. Keycap Designer has a doc in #the-guide that shows the tolerances you need to work within in order for GMK to product certain novelties. GLWIC!

Deskmat would look more cooler wthout that logo. There are some places where a clean aesthetic without branding works wonders

I like this set, but the "Oxidane (Alphas)" kits needs an extra tab so you could potentially fill in 2 boards.  :thumb:

I like this set, but the "Oxidane (Alphas)" kits needs an extra tab so you could potentially fill in 2 boards.  :thumb:
