the mode eighty is designed to be as quality as possible but in my vision it's a bit outdated, in my preference i think the compatibility of both gummy o-ring and top mount (Freebird TKL) is far more useful and important than the possibility to use a stack mount which from what i have heard feels almost as stiff as a tray mount (Mode Eighty), and while you can also use top mount this is also an option on the FB TKL so I wouldn't consider that a point really for the Mode Eighty. Second of all the price point of the Freebird TKL is amazing for what you get, you get something with on par (and in my preference better) value than a keyboard worth 500 dollars or more. I feel maybe when the Mode Eighty was originally released it was considered good for its price but with all of the amazing options for much cheaper pricepoints I think the Freebird TKL is a far better buy than the Mode Eighty. I will actually be getting a FB TKL of my own soon
