Color and Kits

R2 will use the same colors as R1 but with silver metallic flake in the plastic mix for reflective glints under light.
We’re speaking with GMK to see how we can make this happen and find the right particle density to avoid an overly glittery look.
Only two kits for now, but let me know what you’d like to see in the IC form.

I think futurefunk is a Vapor waves' theme. It more like 70-80s Japanese nightlive. There is kirakira with neon anytime, certainty the glitter is great idea.

I know some people don't like the sparkles but I don't mind it, plus it fits into that future funk theme more IMO.

Agree with what people have said about the kitting with f13 and having a 6u bar along with mx hhkb (and maybe add 00 and = for those numpad users)

This is probably the first time I've really liked the 'glittery' look (besides more on-theme sets like Cookies n' Creme), still does everything great that the original Future Funk did, but adds a kinda starry look to it! Curious, will the light alphas have the silver flake or nah? I think it'd be better without the flake since they're already a light colour. Might try and jump on this when it goes to GB!

Not personally a fan of the glitter, but I get it haha. Maybe do two base kits? One with and one without? I think the numbers will be there for sure. Also wouldn’t mind some Hiragana Sub-legends 👀

Personally, I would love to see glitter mods as a standalone kit, so R1 owners can use it as an expansion pack for their sets. This might also allow you to appease everyone who doesn't like glitter being the default choice in the base kit (although I dig it; it's FF2, after all, not FF R2).

As far as the kitting goes, as it currently stands, you can't fully cover a regular 1800/CP/96-key layout without using the R1 media keys from the base kit above the numpad. Which some users may want to do, but probably not everybody. The keys that are missing for a more common setup are white-legend R1 1u PgDn, End.

Consider replacing the second R4 1U Ctrl (which is seldom used on anything other than 40% ortho layouts) with a R4 1u Prev key, for another variant of the right column media keys setup. The R3 Next, R4 Prev keys could then also be used as a substitute for R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn for 65% layouts (these are currently missing from the kit).

Also, to mirror what other folks already said, F13 in base and white F1–F4 / F9–F12 keys in alphas.
