Anyone else finding lighter switches less satisfying over time?

I’ve been using lighter switches for a while—around 45g actuation—and while they were amazing at first, now it feels like I’m not getting enough resistance anymore. Does it just come down to the switch wearing in, or is it a natural evolution of preference? I started looking at heavier options recently, thinking I might switch it up to around 60g. What do you guys think—is this normal, or am I just losing my taste for the lighter feel? Could spring replacement be a quick fix, or should I bite the bullet and try new switches altogether?

I don't know. I used to have the problem of accidentally activating switches because I like to rest my hands on the keyboard, so I tend to use springs above 60g. Before I was sucked into the rabbit hole though, I was  used to Cherry and Gateron Browns/Reds (~45-50g). The first switches I bought were the Boba U4 and they were to heavy at the beginning. After using other switches for a while, I came back and found the U4 to be my favourite (silent) switch.
So getting used to weights is definitely a thing, but I would have expected it to go the other way than what you are describing.

As an almost outside observer, I think preference over time among the Lienar set tends to go the other way.  I feel like more people start heavy or medium, and eventually move onto light.  Personally, I can't stand reds, but then I mostly prefer Box Navy as my "premium" switch and green clickjackets for cheaper builds.  If you sort of consciously picked lighter switches after using domes or heavier switches, it may simply be a result of the novelty wearing off and your typing reverting to your natural tendencies and preferences.

I assume these are linear.
It could be your springs have worn out making them mushy, that said if you use other, heavier sprung boards that could also be contaminating your feel.

If these are tactiles or clickies it could also just be that you have meh switches and the hype wore off. Super ultra light tactile /clicky is really, really tricky to get right. Not all combos work, much less work well. Usually only the smallest tactile bump can handle this low and in most instances the tactility will drop along with spring pressure.
