Hawk60New LayoutHawk60 is a unique 60% layout keyboard. I like the HHKB style that has more white space on the front, or more design space, but I am still unwilling to leave the convenience of WK. So we thought about combining the two while retaining both beauty and practicality.
The"︁HWKB"︁ layout was born, and the name of this keyboard is also taken from the combination of H, W, and K.

It always takes some time for users to adapt to a new layout, but this layout might be one that you can get used to quickly.
.For users like me who are used to having the Ctrl key in the bottom-left corner, or for those who prefer to switch the bottom-right corner to the arrow keys, this layout allows for a similar experience to the original WK layout.
.For those who are used to the HHKB layout, the switch of CapsLock can still be changed to Control.
Based on the ease of use, we hope to add a little novelty and personality to the monotonous front and key layout.
At the same time, we’ve also considered support for other layouts. For more details, please check the IC form at the end.
Appearance

In order to make the new layout appear more timeless, some classic elements are retaine to maintain a lasting appeal.

On the bottom-right corner of the front of the top case, the hawk's claws and feathers have been abstracted and simplified as decorative accents.

The available materials will include brass, copper, mirror-finished stainless steel, and PC (with lighting effects).
Considering that I’m not a fan of having to pull out the keycaps when disassembling the keyboard, and I also don’t like the thick frames that come with quick-release designs. However, if you prefer screwless design, Please share your valuable feedback with me in the IC form.

The bottom case features a more rounded design, with a slight inward taper at the bottom, adding a bit of variation to the styling.
The bottom is equipped with a long weight made of high-density copper or stainless steel to optimize the sound performance. The shape of weight is inspired by TGR, with decorative lines and a window frame-like presentation. The engraving of the weight echoes the "claws" on the front of the keyboard.

The current PCB layout↓
Mounting DesignThis time, the dual structure of Silicone Gasket and Pillar Top are used, both of which are mounting on the same possition of the plate. The overall plate design and mounting points are shown in the figure:

【Gasket】

Some large gasket jackets may increase the resonance instead. Here we use small gasket pods, with a shorter plate spring, to provide a slightly softer typing feel, but not too soft.
【Top】

Hard contact brings harder feedback and made the sound stand out more.
Put the brass pillar in the topcase and tighten the screws to complete the assembly of the top mount.
Purchase method and scheduleIt is expected to be sold in the form of deposit futures or quasi-spot.
The specific price is to be determined. At present, the shell has completed the first sample, and some minor adjustments are still required.
Before the official sale, we would like to collect your purchase intention, your views on layouts such as CWKL, and your intentions for color and material schemes.
According to the feedback from the Chinese market, the following changes will be made: CWKL compatibility (we will try to keep the lighting effects) and lower the front height.
