[IC] GMK CYL Gonzales
« on: Mon, 16 February 2026, 17:37:23 »

Inspiration?
This set is inspired by one of my friends who always wears black outfits and has had a lavender phone case, his name is Gonzales. That's all.

Colors
GMK CR
RAL 290 60 25

Discord Server - for more updates and suggestions about the future of the project.

IC Form - make sure to complete this form in order to know the demand for this set.

Here are the kits - all renders done by me.

Base Kit:
Why cadet sublegends? His favorite song is Space Cadet by Gunna and Metro Boomin.

Spacebar Kit:
Nice kit.

Some board renders:

F2-84 by GEON:

TGR 910 by YUKTSI:

TGR Alice by YUKTSI:

Comparison:
After reviewing exactly 3 sets, I have come to the conclusion that GMK Olivia is the closest one to this set. In addition, GMK Gonzales would be a great member in the GOAT category along with Olivia.

Thanks for viewing this interest check! People who like cadet subs and black colored sets, don't miss this opportunity to own this masterpiece.
That's all for today.

This is one of those sets that is a bit silly, but weirdly wholesome. I hope it runs.

The third set was Troubled Minds, right? With less contrast between alphas and mods, I think you're OK.

I'm obligated to get this because it both looks really nice and my Brother in law and now my Sister's surname is Gonzalez lol. Actually, I should get him a base kit too

Very nice looking set. Are kitting suggestions / changes welcome?

Some generally stylistic, and mostly kitting-related but some changes I'd suggest:

Given the classic & Cadet styling of the set--

1. Nav cluster legends: "Print - Scroll - Pause" to OG-styled "Prt Sc / Sys Rq - Scroll Lock - Pause / Break", this will also be consistent with the two-line "Num Lock" legend.

2. Numpad sublegends: Adding sublegends (navigation, arrows, etc) to numpad number keys. This would go nicely with the busier Cadet look on the alphas, as well.

3. Duplicates: R1 Tilde key and R2 1.5 Pipe key are redundant. Remove.

4. Remove R3 Pg Up and R4 Pg Dn from Base, in favor of moving 2u / 2.25u spacebars (and maybe also 6u bar + 2x R4 1.5u Super) to Base. I personally would advocate for a more compatibility-focused base kit. The second B is in base, but the spacebars to go with it are split off.

5. Adding 2x R4 1.5u Super to any of the two kits (as they're currently absent).

6. Stylistic, but I'm not sure if it's preferable to force accent Esc/Enter for 40s compatibility. Perhaps you have better survey/data on this. Consider changing to regular modifier colors.

7. Purely a designer's choice here-- but would consider moving arrow accents to child kit so that the 2u / 2.25u / 6u spacebar compatibilty stuff can make it to Base.
