Far above a distant skyline veiled in drifting haze, a beam of luminous green cuts across the heavens.
A falling star, burning in its final stand against fate, blazes with quiet ferocity against the dying of its light.
In its glowing wake remain the echoes of a grand journey: friendships forged through adversity, rivalries that shape destiny, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward when the path ahead is uncertain.

Meteor Dreams is inspired by a world that blends fantasy and science fiction, a saga that has captured the imagination and hearts of many. It is an invitation to remember adventures with cherished companions across distant lands, and dreams that refuse to fade.

So even when the clouds gather: Charge forward. Break limits. Defy destiny.

After all, sometimes the brightest light in the sky is the one we choose to follow.

Designer Comments:

The coloured legends are semi-translucent, with unique flow marks. These textures are formed as the molten plastic cools inside the mold and can appear as faint swirls, or inconsistent changes in sheen. This is an intended effect, with similar characteristics seen in my prior keycap set design MW Jade Dragon. Here’s a photo album with some close-up photos of the effect.

I also wanted to design a keycap set that would look nice in the dark too, thus the semi-translucent material of the legends on the white keycaps allows for some shine-through. A backlit keyboard would actually evoke the otherworldly glow of the blue-green gradient and materia colours best. Do note that this shine-through effect is primarily limited to the non-accented keycaps.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Milkyway Keys confirms that this set can be manufactured in fully double-shot ABS (whereas before the white material was PBT).

There's also some kitting changes:

To make the base kit pricing more economical, the extra F-row accent keys have been moved into a new child kit 'Trail', where I've also included regular F-row keys.


The Spacebar kit is also now finalised:

In terms of group-buy timing, I'll be looking in the coming week for vendors, aiming for hopefully a May GB period.
