Perfect for gamers? The layout is terrible, and at 129 EUR (almost 180 USD) it seems like a bad joke compared to whats already available.

Same layout as 6Gv2 but using Cherry Brown instead of blacks.

PS/2 RTR sounds like a bad marketing joke...

aye really curious about their Real Time Response "technology".

Allthough looks promising to me, I has what im looking for, brown switches, and media keys and full NKRO instead of gaming optimized like black widow.

And most important it seems I might be able to get my mechanical keyboard with danish layout earlier than expected.

If you mean bull**** like unnecessary feature I would agree with you, if you are referring to their RTR tech.

For me it looks promising in regard of the possibilty of getting it with my native layout earlier than I might have expected!

I meant that something which presumably decreases response times on a keyboard while using PS/2 smells a lot like bull**** :)

I'm guessing they mean you can tune the debounce performance. I think that's also what they mean by 'normal' keyboard response being 0.5s (which would be incredibly rare I'm sure.)

At first I thought RTR was about the typematic rate. Not much point being able to tune that on the fly. Games don't really use it.

I'm wondering if the RTR has to do with the debounce rate.

Quote from: ZOWIE
With an actual response-time of only 0,2 seconds, the ZOWIE CELERITAS has the fastest response-time of any mechanical keyboard currently on the market.  Furthermore it features anti-ghosting, supporting all keys through PS/2 and 6 keys through USB. For your information, the definition of a "normal response-time" for a keyboard is 0,5 seconds.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but assuming they're using the comma like some Europeans do (as a decimal separator)...

Isn't a normal debounce rate 5ms for Cherry MX Switches? If so, isn't that much faster than 0.2s, which is 200ms?

AFAIK the 0.5ms is a worst case scenario that would happen only very rarely.

The primary feature of the ZOWIE CELERITAS is the newly developed ZOWIE RTR™ (Real Time Response) technology which allows the user to define the repeat-response of their presses to be 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x of the normal repeat-response for a keyboard when using the PS/2 connector. RTR™ allows gamers to gain a higher responsiveness from their keys and thereby increase the pace of movement in FPS and Racing games or possibly even increase the APM in RTS. How fast do you like it to be? We give you the possibility so you can define your most comfortable repeat-response.
So... yeah.

Says it's full nkro on the description (all keys through PS/2, 6 through USB). We'll see if they're full of **** or not.

The layout of the backslash and left **** key seem bizarre.

I don't like the price being the same in USD and EUR. With some companies, also the price in GBP is the same and now that really sucks.

If that stuff really worked like they say it does, I would want it for work.

But the price is more than Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and probably more than Steelseries 7G. Quite much to charge. Any reason to get this over the Blackwidow (and I mean then basic 99 euro one without the lights).

Saw the note about nylon keys, wonder how they'd feel.  Nylon bushings I make for my car are slippery when they're smooth.

The Zowie also claims to have NKRO, something that the Razer does not have.  However, a point in Razer's favour is they don't have dudes posing with keyboards on their site, and that's a big plus.

just a bit curious when they say brown mechanical keyboard, that we can expect mx cherry brown switches?

and how about material on the keycaps, how durable is it compared the keycaps on Filco (not sure what material they use). Im being a bit sceptical about its durability when loads of sweat and salty fingers come across them...

first of all no need to be patronizing. That you choose quote from another person makes no difference when you dont actually make a proper answer. unless you being a troll...

The reason why I am asking them to be mx cherry brown switches is that I assume you can make switches similar or with excat same specifiation but from an unknown company?

I am quite new regarding the mechanics of a keyboard but know at least the basic of it, but there is no need to rub it in...

Finally got a mail from Zowie Gear!

Zowie Celeritas will be crashing the danish market on 10. December and of course with danish layout!

So this will be my new keyboard, though not too fond with the design, the front lips is not in my flavour, and the switching light mode, from blue to red depending on gaming mode or not... would have taken Das or Filco any day if it would be in my native layout!

But it has the switches im looking and yet again the layout im looking for!

Sorry if you said it before but I haven't been following all of your posts ;)

You say you are from denmark and I agree, I don't know of any Das or Filcos with Danish layout. BUT there are blank layouts, I for example have a Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate EU which would be able to morph into a Danish layout if I am not mistaken. Blanks not an option?

But ill give Zowie a try see if its in my liking, if not there is filco with swe/finn layout atm..
