[IC] Matter 65 | New Partner Announcement
« on: Wed, 08 April 2026, 06:02:41 »

ANNOUNCEMENT

We are thrilled to officially announce our partnership with Aiglatson Studio (AGS) as our exclusive production and operational partner for Matter 65! As a full-time interior designer, balancing creative work with complex manufacturing management and global logistics requires immense focus. To ensure Matter 65 receives the dedicated operational care it deserves, partnering with a seasoned, professional team was essential.

Having long admired AGS’s work and track record in the custom keyboard community, collaborating with them felt like a natural choice. Furthermore, with both of us being Bangkok-based, our close proximity allows for seamless, hands-on collaboration and instant real-time coordination. AGS will be overseeing manufacturing management, factory coordination, quality control, and global logistics & fulfillment—giving us complete confidence in delivering Matter 65 at the highest quality standard.

A 65% keyboard with PC case with solid Copper/Steel weight as a middle piece.

Hi guys, this is CHQ. I'm originally trained as an interior and furniture designer, but over the past several years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of custom mechanical keyboards.
Driven by my fascination with the beauty, sound, and tactile experience of keyboards, I designed this board to reflect my personal preferences and needs.

DESIGN CONCEPT

***Photoshoot of 1st Prototype***

I love adding contrasting elements into a space—like placing antique furniture in a minimalist setting. Personally, I’m fascinated by PC boards,
But I find that the PC top often reveals weaknesses, especially at the mounting and assembly points. So I want the internal view through the PC top to have its own aesthetic—something intentional and beautiful.

I’ve chosen to make the middle structure serve as both internal weight and visual centerpiece, revealing the core material of the board itself.
The perspective from where you use the board becomes part of the experience. By adding refined details to the internal components and contrasting them with the clean lines of the exterior,
I can blend natural materials with artificial(synthetic) ones.

Typography with classic weight brings a sense of solidity, while calligraphy adds movement and emotional expression.
Everything I’ve described is an attempt to let the board express its own internal contrasts—and that’s the origin of a ‘matter’ that truly matters to me.

COLLABORATION

Our collaboration with Floppy Processor is still fully ongoing! To align with the refined details and design of the final prototype, we are currently re-designing both the collaboration PCB artwork and deskmat designs.
We want to ensure the final result perfectly represents this partnership, and we will share previews of the new designs as soon as they are finalized.

PROTOTYPE

We are officially in the final prototyping phase! The production of the final prototype/sample units is currently underway. This round is crucial as we want to inspect and verify one last time that the new manufacturer can deliver every piece up to our exact quality standards and specifications.
Once received and thoroughly tested to ensure every detail meets our exact specifications, we will share high-resolution photos, typing/sound tests, and complete Group Buy details with the community.

PRICING, VENDORS, TIMELINE

TBA

CHANGES

  • Partner
  • Middle weight : Brass removed, Stainless Steel Added, Black coated brass to copper
  • Adjust mounting point design and force-break pad
  • Split-backspace added to hotswap WK pcb
  • Remove 6.25u spacebar support from hotswap WK pcb. Reason : Keycaps might hit the top housing of the full travel switches.

For a second there I thought it was WKL only, but looks like we get options. It's a fun design.

I usually avoid 65% boards because those top case blockers between the arrows and the bottom row mess up the symmetry for me. 60% WKL is much cleaner, but if I need arrows, TKL is the way to go. I’m an Alu lover (PC isn't my thing) and I prefer having material options like Alu/Brass/Copper backplates. Hope to see a 60% or TKL from you next

This looks pretty nice! I would consider including more options for the HS pcb though. Oh and preferably change the screws to hex. Torx screws look cool but they are prone to stripping

Thank you for your interest and opinions.
I reduce options in HS pcb due to my liking. I prefer not rotating switch, some keycap profile might hit the switch when bottom out.
In my experiences Hex screws are prone to stripping than torx screws, but I will test it over again to find which is the best.

Yes, we got WK too.  :thumb:

65% is the first layout that lure me to the hobby and last year I get rid of all other layout except 65%. But now I am started to collect 60% for months. So yes, my next design would be 60% for sure.
