Redragon utilizes a unified driver platform for its family of Hall Effect (HE) magnetic keyboards. Instead of coding separate applications for each individual model, Redragon creates a shared software ecosystem that accommodates multiple magnetic switches in their hardware lineup.
Magnetic switch calibration
Unlike traditional mechanical keyboards that only register a binary on/off contact, magnetic switches depend on Hall Effect sensors reading precise magnetic field strengths. Different magnetic switches (like the Gem Mag Pro or King Magnetic) feature varying magnet sizes, magnetic strengths, and physical travel distances.
Providing a drop-down menu allows you to select the correct profile if you choose to swap out the stock switches. Selecting the incorrect switch type in the software causes the driver to misread the magnetic distance, which directly ruins precision features like Rapid Trigger or custom actuation points.
In short, it's crucial that you use the web app to calibrate your switches at least once, and especially if you switch it to another magnetic switch. Initial Calibration is Crucial: Out of the box, slight manufacturing variations or environmental factors can cause keys to have deadzones, stick, or fail to register. Running a baseline calibration ensures features like Rapid Trigger and custom actuation points work flawlessly.
Mandatory for Switch Swapping: Different magnetic switch brands (or even different batches) have unique magnetic strengths, pole alignments, and total travel distances. If you hot-swap the stock switches out for another brand without recalibrating through the Redragon Web App or driver software, the keyboard will read the magnet's distance incorrectly. This leads to severe ghosting or dead keys.

While this spherical contour feels slightly unusual during the initial typing session, the adjustment period is incredibly brief; the layout quickly feels entirely natural under the fingers. Over time, this distinct aesthetic grows on the user. The spherical design delivers a unique, premium flair rarely seen in this market segment, making the keyboard look remarkably interesting and modern.
The typography on the legends is equally distinct, offering a highly legible font that successfully steers clear of boring, generic gaming typefaces. Almost the entire layout looks fantastic, with only a minor subjective critique regarding a few specific stencils. Notably, the split-legend font used on the "O" and "0" (zero) keys features a distinct gap right down the middle. This design choice causes the characters to resemble two separate parentheses facing each other rather than a cohesive letter or number. While this specific look may catch some users off guard and might not suit everyone's personal preference, it remains highly tolerable. Ultimately, font styling is entirely subjective, but it remains a minor detail that does not detract from an otherwise excellent, premium-feeling keycap set.
ChassisWhile the official website specifications remain somewhat vague on the exact material, the exterior chassis appears to be constructed from a dense, high-grade ABS plastic. It avoids the cheap, hollow feel common to budget enclosures, instead offering a rigid and structurally sound base that resists flexing.
This specific variant of the keyboard showcases the stunning Jade Cloud colorway, which features a beautiful two-tone aesthetic consisting of clean white and soft jade green/mint keys. The keycaps are finished with crisp, black-colored fonts that offer excellent contrast when unlit. Once the RGB backlighting is activated, the light shines cleanly through the translucent legends rather than illuminating the entire keycap housing. This creates a highly legible, premium, and visually striking design that looks fantastic in any desktop setup.

This modern gasket layout completely outclasses old-school tray mounts by delivering a much softer feel and superior acoustic dampening. Traditional tray mounts screw the plate directly into stiff plastic standoffs, creating harsh, rigid 'hard spots' around the keys and transferring hollow vibrations straight into the case. By contrast, this gasket design isolates the entire internal assembly with flexible rubber dampeners, giving you a uniform, cushioned bottom-out and a remarkably clean sound profile.
Core I/O and Connectivity FeaturesThe Redragon Antonium K745 HE features a minimalist wired-only design, utilizing a single detachable USB-C port at the back to support an 8,000Hz hyper-polling rate for 0.125ms latency. Accessibility of the TeardownI did not test opening the keyboard myself because doing so voids the warranty. You should not normally open the chassis unless you have a compelling reason to do so. However, I found a teardown guide for the Antonium K745 Pro. This model is very similar to the K745 HE, with a few key differences: the K745 HE features magnetic Hall Effect switches and lacks the lithium battery used for wireless connectivity. Despite these internal changes, the process for opening the chassis to access the internal components is likely identical.

At peak performance, the maximum brightness level is brilliant and punchy, though it can easily be dimmed down or shut off entirely for users who prefer a more understated, stealthy look.
Where the illumination truly shines is in its diverse selection of dynamic profiles. Standard lighting presets are excellent, but integrating the specialized music plugin elevates the visual experience to an entirely new level, allowing the keys to pulse and react seamlessly to your audio. Among the available options, "Blossom Prosperity" stands out as a personal favorite for static or casual use, while the highly energetic "Clouds Rising, Snow Flying" profile delivers an exceptional audio-reactive music effect.
The layout includes a unique feature: an integrated RGB light bar that lines the chassis perimeter. While this perimeter strip cannot be adjusted through the companion desktop software, it is fully customizable directly on the hardware. By pressing FN + Pause, you can cycle through various side-lighting effects or turn off the light bar entirely if it becomes distracting. How Does It Feel? Frictionless, Float-Like Glide: Travel on a purely magnetic axis with zero internal leaf springs to scrape or resist. Paired with self-lubricating POM switch stems, every keypress delivers an exceptionally consistent, ultra-slick, and completely scratch-free actuation.
Stabilized Gasket Structure: Engineered with a premium gasket-mounted design, the keyboard absorbs harsh bottom-out impacts for a softer typing feel and dampened acoustics. Underneath, it utilizes a specialized dual-module floating structure. The K745 HE lets you choose exactly how deep you have to press a key to trigger it, while unlocking specific behavioral profiles like MPT, MT, TGL, and END.
Alternatively, if you don't want to manually set it up, and you simply want to set it up quickly, you can use the presets. Multi-Point Trigger (MPT): This mode lets you assign multiple distinct actuation and reset thresholds to a single key strike, giving you granular control over exactly when an action starts and stops during the travel distance.
Mod-Tap (MT): Dual-function mapping. A quick tap triggers a normal keypress (e.g., Space), while holding the key down activates a modifier function (e.g., Shift or Ctrl).

As for the Windows key lock, using the physical keyboard shortcut is often much faster than toggling it through the web app. Simply press FN + Win to lock the key before gaming, and press it again to unlock it when you are finished.
Device InfoThis menu allows you to update your firmware, check your current software version, or perform a factory reset. However, using the physical shortcut keys directly on the keyboard is often a faster and more reliable way to factory reset the device.
Profile ManagementOnce you finish customizing your configuration, you can use this section to back up your current profiles or import previously saved ones.
Some useful tips for the Antonium K745 HE keyboardChange lighting for the thin horizontal rgb stripIf you want to change it's effect or turn it on/off do this
Change Effects / Cycle Modes: Press FN + Pause/Break simultaneously. Each press will cycle through the different RGB animations and solid colors designed for the strip.
Turn Off Completely: Keep pressing FN + Pause/Break. The final mode in the cycle turns the light strip completely off.
Restore factory settingsPress and hold [FN] + [ESC] for 3 seconds.
You don't normally do this, but if you want a clean slate and not sure what you changed, or if you had an issue and want to try fix it, factory resetting is your go to option. If you have any stable profiles you painstakingly set, I highly recommend you back those up under the profile management in the web app.

I didn't play my absolute best, but we managed to get 2nd place in ranked, so that definitely counts for something! At 16:20 demonstrated some jiggle strafing, definitely felt smoother thx to team wipe engine aka SOCD.

ConclusionThis was my first time reviewing a Redragon product. I expected a budget-friendly and highly competitive device, and that is exactly what it is. However, as detailed in my earlier assessment, the exceptional build quality genuinely surprised me.
It definitely gives you an edge during gameplay, especially in fast-paced, key-sensitive genres like first-person shooters. As you saw, I even managed to win an Apex Legends ranked diamond match. Even though my own play was awful—a total personal skill issue—the keyboard was responsive enough to help me dig in and pull off the win.
If you want a step up to a more premium Hall Effect keyboard with a similarly modern gasket design, Redragon offers the PENUMBRA K687 HE Rapid Trigger Gaming Keyboard. Like the Antonium, it is wired, features an 8000Hz polling rate, and uses Hall Effect switches. However, unlike the Antonium K745 HE, the Penumbra features a 75% layout with 81 keys and a CNC aluminum frame. The entire chassis is crafted from solid CNC aluminum with an advanced frosted finish, keeping the keyboard stable, elegant, and premium. It also adds a control knob, blank top keycaps, and side-printed translucent legends for the RGB lighting to shine through. The main selling point here is the aluminum build, targeting users who want a premium weight and are willing to pay extra for it.
However, that does not take away from the Antonium K745 HE. Some users may actually prefer the Antonium's color scheme, rounded keycaps, and overall font aesthetics over the Penumbra. It also costs less, making it a highly affordable entry point into high-quality Hall Effect performance.
Do I recommend the Antonium K745 HE? Yes, definitely, especially if you are a gamer and looking for a competitive edge. I did not find any major issues with it.
