The legendary keyboard with the legendary Cherry key. The grail of any serious Cherry collection.

Someone in France go and grab this, its a good deal. These are getting really rare and this one seems to be in excellent condition.

Is there a specific reason that ALL of these seem to be in the EU? I'm kind of hoping to find one (as cheap as possible, because I'll have to deal with the expense of getting blues to swap in).

Probably because Cherry's distribution for non POS keyboards has already been as abysmal as now outside of Europe and Asia.

Going by the order card in the box and a few results on the web a US version existed, but for the Chinese market... go figure! It uses the giant L shaped enter key, which is extremely rare for Cherry Corp. keyboards. Actually I think this is the only keyboard that ever used it apart from some 30 year old Terminal  board.

Well, I can deal with the Euro layout...I have been for ages now with my 122-key terminal Model M. But distribution does end up being a problem I guess.

Perhaps I should throw up a wanted ad. Couldn't hurt. The 2100 is indeed the programmable one, right?

Yeah, 2100 is the programmable one. the 2200 is the Terminal one, which is not programmable.

"Finistère" apparently means something like "classified" in French. Either that or it means "nationwide" or something like that.. anyway it shows this for all of the auctions there.
The other date is the list date as far as I can tell?

This is a special type of eBay auction which was not introduced outside of Europe yet. These are open end listings, kinda like a newspaper ads or a craigslist post. You can't bid, you have to contact the seller directly. There also is no buyer protection. eBay does nothing but provide the listing platform.

Paris = Ile de France
Marseille = Bouches du Rhône
