Remove Filco Keys?
« on: Tue, 14 December 2010, 20:47:33 »
I ordered a Filco Majestouch with WSAD but never received the key puller, I am trying to figure out how to take the keys out without one, is it possible? I contacted elitekeyboards about it, and getting the key puller as it was supposed to come but wondering if I have to wait.

Yes it is. But it will be hard, very hard. Try to hold and wiggle, while pulling the keycaps.

I bent a paperclip into a squared-off U shape and used it to remove keys before my key puller arrived.

Dental Floss. Sounds crazy but you can loop it under the keys and run very little risk of scuffing or scratching anything.

I generally use the back of a spoon. The handle end. But a butter knife would work, too. Just more risk of damage to the keys.
