Double shot replacements ROUND THREE: Vote for Kits & Quantities!
« Reply #2050 on: Fri, 18 March 2011, 09:07:47 »
Ok, i have been reading but just to make 100% sure:
-The keycaps in the "STANDARD" kit (or just any kit) are ABS and not PBT?
-We cleared out that the enterkey included in the ISO kits is the standard iso-return key, and not that funky new type we can see from steelseries keyboards?

Also, i've been thinking about getting some of their colored stock keys to get control, shift and alt keys like this. And maybe a black or yellow superkey/windowskey. But, those stock keys they have don't have any legends? Would be nice with some variation from having the colored keys in this picture, but i fear it would look retarded if there were no legends...

Too late? What?

Only blanks?

I'm even MORE confused now. This is all so unclear :(

Didn't mean to confuse, you talked of coloured sets and I was thrown. The only set with legends is the STANDARD set (black and grey), an all black set was mooted but dropped after lack of interest. All the colourful sets for replacing all the keys on a keyboard are blank. "Too late?". Too late to add new kits to this round, not too late to order from what's listed.

Yes, ABS. The idea of PBT kits was dropped when it emerged that SP have difficulties making PBT spacebars.

I believe that the BigASS return keys are available separately

Yes, as far as I'm aware the stock keys come without legends.

Agree, i like the keyboard. I would at least like to mimic the key tops, imagine if we had a "pack" with mod keys of those colors to go along with the standard kit. It would look more or less exactly like that picture, with the exception of different Legends - which i don't think matters all too much.

does the orange kit come with all the keys for a 10keyless board? Enter, ctrl, alt, etc... ? and why is it less than a blank orange kit?

ORANGE kit is actually a gamer kit (wasd etc.) not a full keyboard set.

Hi, newbie here.  I have a few questions.

I just wanted to buy a standard keyset for my filco so I sent 7bit_vote a mail with STANDARD 1.

However there are a lot of notes in the post stating that the space bar is not included but another ambiguous note saying that voting STANDARD 1 will net you a space bar by default.  Here are the two statements that are confusing me :

Standard kit ................ $45 / 120 (STANDARD)
The Standard kit contains no space bar!

Default is a grey space bar (SPACEGREY) which matches Filco/Ducky and recent Cherry G80-3000.
You don't need to vote for that grey space bar, if you want this to be included to your Standard kit.

Also, I have a hard time locating the payment options?  I noticed a few members in the recent threads have already paid for their orders and I wanted to do so as well.

The last thing is I was wondering if there was a way I can verify my vote/order was recorded?  I don't seem to get any feedback message or email saying that my vote/order was successfully cast.

Sorry if these questions have already been answered in the previous pages but I didn't find any doing a quick ctrl + f find.

Naret to answer your questions --

If you want to be sure with the spacebar then just send another vote saying SPACEGREY 1

Since 7bit is on holiday it seems that the invoices/vote statistics have not been sent as recent as they were. So don't worry about it, until he gets back (tomorrow???)

Basically you will get an email saying for you to reply with your shipping address, once you done this you will then get a reply with payment instructions (paypal)

No -- you do not have to sign up to the statistics to receive the invoice.

Apparently 7_bit is back today so if you don't receive an invoice by 22nd March (giving plenty of time for him to 'catchup') then pm him incase it got lost in the system or something, but I hardly doubt it will. It's just a matter of time now and it will be updated.

It should be alright even if you just voted by the 23rd March cause the payment deadline is the end of March so try not to worry.

I'd recommend a key puller.  It'll save you from scratching your keycaps and at an extreme, damaging your keyboard.  It's much faster to take the caps off with a proper tool.

That said, you could make one with some paper clips...

Ok guys I am new to this, I just want to make sure my 'order' gets placed and I am doing this right. I have a Rosewill and Filco and plan to order a Poker soon (I think it has same modifier keys and spacebar as other two?)

I PM my order in the correct format to 7bit_vote. I haven't received anything back yet though. Will I soon get an invoice or something sent to me with my order form and a total price (with shipping to me?) that I paypal the money?

STANDARD 1
SPACEBLACK 1
BLACKBLANKFULL 2

Above is a sample of my order. Does this come with everything for my keyboards and a total of 4 space bars? (3 black, 1 gray with my standard kit --still a little confused about this).

Also going to get a puller and some of the picture keys, I thought they were all double shot, then somebody said the troll face isn't, are there others that are not as well?

Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance for help on any of them.

I would also like to pay since the due date is approaching. However, I've never received payment information (although I did receive a total). I'm sure 7bit will get around to it if/when he returns. Also, the due date is probably a lot more flexible than it says.
