Battlestar Galactica

Now, I know I'm going to lose major nerd cred by admitting this, but I only just started watching Galactica. I'm really enjoying it, I can see why it's developed such a huge fanbase.

I just got to the end of episode two. So: OH SHIIIIIIIIIIII--

It's on Netflix. If you have Netflix and the time, I'd highly recommend it based on what I've seen so far.

I take it you're talking about the new Battlestar Galactica. It certainly is a more serious show than the old one.

The old series ending was better.  They strung us along for years and then screwed us in the end I say.  It didn't make any sense.  It's like they tried to paste on an ending from another show.  I've seen that ending in dozens of anime and manga before.   I think it was even in a Twilight Zone.  It was so predictable and not as the original. In the original they find a modern day Earth which would have been much more interesting.

Plus Caprica is unwatchable.  They royaly fracked up in my opinion.

Never seen the new one, but I remember watching the original as a springy young thing - and it appeared in my stocking at Christmas too.  Hurray!  It's as good as I remember it, and the Cylons look like cylons should.

BSG:

4 seasons of "let's introduce some zany new plot threads!"

1 episode of "Ohhhh shiii.... we need to wrap up all these loose plot threads!"

The ending is... odd. There are a lot of great episodes, and a lot of epic filler.

That explains it. Not enough people were watching the first four seasons. There was supposed to have been a fifth season.

If we can just have JR wake up and make the last episode a dream, the series might be salvageable.
