I've tried a number of backgrounds, but I ended up just color correcting the shot on my desk. It's fairly close, but I'd tell those interested to imagine them with more of a matte look and less of a saturated glow.
One thing I did notice, is that under very bright light, such as strong overhead light or sunlight, they do tend to pick up more of the look that they are marketed as having. That said, I tend to keep the lighting quite dim in my room, so
in my room they appear *much* darker than even my pictures i'm posting will show.
