Yes and yes. Nice doubleshots comparable to vintage cherry doubleshots.

The keyboard is a Cherry G80-1800 with PCB-mounted clicky blue Cherry MX switches inside a different case. The keyboard has a lower inclination than the G80-1800's usual case.
The key caps are thick and double-shot and were probably also made by Cherry.
The removable cord has a PS/2 connector.

There are a few old threads about the keyboard and the variations.

This is the best Dolch keyboard variant.  The caps, switches and PCB mount are traits of all mx-based dolch boards, but no others have the PS/2 port like the PAC60.

Keyboardlover, these ARE vintage cherry doubleshots, they were made by cherry.

And surprisingly this auction has modest shipping, most charge $30-80 to ship entire Dolch units.

Its a shame to think how many working ones of these have been trashed just for the keys.

Well, the problem is, as a computer it's sluggish and likely a propriatery form-factor, so it's not readily "slap a new board in it".  As an appliance, it's likely past its prime.  What is it worth except as a keyboard.

Hak Foo makes a decent point, but it appears there are SEVERAL geekhackers that have purchased these units with the purpose of rebuilding / retrofitting / or just upgrading to best specs for the form factor, myself included.  I

personally *hate* laptops / notebooks, and have even bugged others with my many rants about what a crap platform it is.

Luggable PCs are a much more viable option now than when these were built, with the newer small mainboards, lower power requirements, wireless nics, and great data storage options. One can easily shave quite a bit of weight from one of these units, and make it perform on par with modern desktops or laptops in a much more pleasing and usable layout.

My plans are to max mine out as best I can afford (some custom fab *might* be needed, depends on the route I take). The only real issue I've come up against is space for expansion cards, and with external wifi adapters and possible a case mod I should be able to deal with it quite elegantly, but for now I save $$$ for the build :D

If a GeekHacker got this and is planning to strip the caps and toss the board let me know; I would take it. Thanks!
