http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-17-Keys-Numeric-Keypad-Keyboard-PC-Laptop-Win7-/400172411817?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item5d2c226ba9

Right now, 18.04 USD delivered from HK, supposedly goes up to 20 shortly.

The same seller seems to offer them in three flavours:  17 keys, 18 (with two keys in lieu of +), and 20 (with the zero and enter shrunk too).

Anyone tried these?

The bizarre layout (F keys instead of math operators) makes me yearn for them to be programmable, but I bet not.

One photo looks lasered or pad-printed legends, but the picture showing an open keycap promises doubleshot keys and white-ALPS switches.

Ordered one, the 20-key style... figure it might offer more remap potential.

I can see a nice mechanical num block as an alternative route for extra keys-- large POS boards often have layout compromises that ordinary boards avoid.

Why is the 20-key one so much less? $14.47 now.

Still, they look pretty good for a ten-key, When they arrive, tell us what you think. If they're doubleshot, I'm buying one asap.

What the heck, maybe I'll buy one myself. I've always wanted a nice tenkey.

Anyone got one yet? I'm interested.

Bytheway, looking up the model number online really only tells you that there are 1-2 other shops that carry the same thing as their ebay store.

Tempting, I may have to pick one of these up if just to play around with some white alps. I've always wanted to try those out. I could use a decent numberpad too.

Bought a 17 key. Would have liked backspace but not at the cost of the symbol keys.

For anyone who has the numpad. Does Num Lock need to be enabled or will it work with it turned off?

Got mine.  The keys look lasered.  The 20-key returns F1-6, backspace for clear, and "Esc" is realy Numlock.

Hak Foo, does the numpad work when Num Lock is off or do you need to turn it on for it to work?

Mine are lasered as well.

It's the same with as any regular numpad. Numlock off it just acts as arrow keys etc.

Just wish it had legs. Love the feel though, this is going to make me buy a new board.

Got mine today, the larger keys doesn't have stabilizers and are wobbly and the key are lasered as well.  For ±20$ I'm satisfied.

The 20-key has no issue with stabilizers :)

About the 20-key, Do the top keys function as normal function keys, or do they work as /*-+ etc? What does "clear" do? Does "esc" work like numlock?

Clear is backspace
Esc is numlock
F1-F6 are indeed, F1-F6.

Thanks, Hak Foo.

I don't know if this affects my decision to buy, though.

Truly an interesting piece of equiptment. Maybe I'll get one when my tenkeyless arrives.
