NOIR/GLIDER
The best way to go.

Are we going with the glider with grid or without? I sort-of like the grid, but am cool either way.

The problem is that the grid-lines can't be so thin we would like them.Maybe I will set up a poll about the actual design.

Hey, after reading the wiki still a tad unclear on what I should order. I have a Poker and want to order the Dolch scene aka Round 3 keys. What am I supposed to write on my order and is there an approximate cost?

Thanks, Brendan

Most likely there will be that spacebar which will fit 3 different keyboards:
Cherry/Filco/Leopold

I'm not sure anymore.

Was it the Poker or the Nooppoo which had the same space bar as the Leopold?

Where is the #1 kbd Xpert when I need him?

Poker has filco spacing... forgot what the noppoo was but I think its shorter so I dont think the leo spacebar will work on it.

I've started a Space Bar wiki. I always forget which space bar fits which keyboard.

I think the Poker was something like 5.5 units wide...

Looking at his reversed LOD key.

Refer to the Key Reference Wiki.

That's why it's CALLED the Key Reference Wiki.

Ah, so it IS Filco compatible.

Added to the wiki.

The real wiki.  Not one of those fake Deskthority.net wikis.

Shouldn't math be used? Surely someone has a Poker bar that can be measured.

Well, that makes a LOT of sense.

Start a spacebar wiki instead of adding a few missing spacebars to the existing wiki..........................

I've just found some keyboards in you wiki and added them to my wiki.

You wiki is really great except that there almost no measures. Aklso, my wiki article is dedicated to space bars only, so it is much easier to find the information needed.

I invite you to add (non-watermarked) pictures and other space bar related information to it!

I compared your pictures with my poker and while it is around 11cm in length the stem spacings (for the stabilizers and switch) are further apart compared to the Leopold (ie, Filco style). The left and right stem holes are much closer to the sides compared to the Leopold, not sure if this helps.

OK I've found it:
5.5 units, key mounts are 43mm apart from the center mount.

I'm quite sure that was the noppoo space bar.

ps: added to the DeskThority high quality wiki :-P

Looks like 5.5 units to me!

43+25.4/4==49.35

Not bad (Filco is 50mm)!

P.S.  I highly recommend today's generation invests in a ruler. They come in handy sometimes.  I use metric unless I'm posting at Deskthority.
I have three metal rulers and a scale that I sometimes use as one.

Also, the DT wiki is just starting. I'm sure it'll be better in time.

Finally: 7Bit is right about the purpose of those plastic things that protect your keys in transit. Pity it's so hard to get doubleshot in Dvorak. :(

Hmm, in that case I'd probably prefer the NOIR kit. I'm not sure what I'd have to order to have the same as before in terms of keys but with the NOIR style instead of ROUND3; Would it just be:

NOIR/STANDARD
NOIR/SPACE
NOIR/RGB
NOIR/GAMER
NOIR/UK
EMAIL

And how much would this be at the current levels of interest?

How do you determine how many "units" a keycap is? Is one unit the width of a standard alphanumeric key i.e. ~18mm.

~18mm.

I tried to order and they did not show up on the confirmation email.  Will these not be available?  I saw them on the wiki.

So what color is the SHP/TKL? What is the price? Which poll-thread? I looked on the wiki and the text poll-thread.

thank you for the help organizing this effort!
