I'm trying to find any information on the type of switches, they are just listed as mechanical.

Wow, a Cherry spacesaver with tenkey for $60! That's a deal and a half, assuming it has MX switches (which I can't imagine being otherwise).

I'll send you one w/o keycaps for shipping + beer money, but I wouldn't recommend that you buy it.  I'm not a big fan of the MY switches, but I guess maybe if you like heavy linear switches they might be OK.  But even so I'd recommend you just get a board w/ blacks in that case.  (mine did have a nice set of black doubleshots on it, which is the main reason that it hasn't hit the trash yet.)

I would suggest to look on ebay instead, as a lot of the time you can find the g80 mx switch with the same layout for close to the same price or cheaper, sometimes new in box. Probably the best bargain for a similar MX keyboard is this one, though it has an integrated trackpad and an Italian layout.

The G81-1800 series uses the FTSC key technology. It is a mechanical switch that presses on a Mylar membrane. You should look at the G80-1865LXNEU-2 if you want the 1800 style footprint/layout with brown MX keysswitches. If you want the blue MX switches you can go with the full sized G80-3000LSCEU-2.

PCHome has them (see WW Buying Links).  Pricey but not all that rare anymore.  That's one reason why I ended up selling mine.  Also, the page nav cluster is in a crappy spot.

For gaming, it's like a heavier black MX with smother action and less key wobble. The extra force will only really bother at the second half of  travel (at least with heavier double-shots).
It's not recommended for typing, but imho it's easier to avoid bottoming out than with MX blacks, simply because you can't do it with the same light touch (crazy ~110g at the end of travel, two springs) and doing so will get you tired quickly, so you adapt in no time (for the wrong reason).
To rephrase it, avoid G81 when in doubt. It has that feeling of something made to outlast you, but not to be comfortable.
