IBM model M: "Reseating springs/keys" ???

Hi,

I read, that IBM model M users had "reseated" the springs/keys of their
Model Ms.
Two questions out of pure curiosity:
How can I determine keys which need to be reseated?
What do I have to do to "reseat" a sping/key?

Also, if a switch works fine but doesnt click, that means the spring is not tight on the hammer and needs reseating.

Springs are removed by turning them either clockwise or counterclockwise (I don't remember which) delicately, the reverse for putting them back on. It can be done with bare hands, though it may require some concentration. Pincers or bamboo stickers can be used instead. I prefer just bare fingers.

Some times if you just removed the keycap and put it back the click comes back. I tried this with a few keys and it works
