I see you are a Mouse Enthusiast vun, so if you don't mind, could you please explain to me what an ODM mouse is xD
Currently, I own the Logitech G500, which I love and am happy to stick with. Just wondering what other options are out there, as I want one mouse for the net-cafe, and one for home.
So I've been thinking of trying out a new mouse, instead of just getting another G500. Do you have any other suggestions? Another option was the SteelSeries Sensei.
I know I must sound like a noob to you with all these choices, just I am not looking to spend an exorbitant amount of money on mice, but I still want a good quality one.
Well, ODM isn't a mouse specific term, it just means "original design manufacturer", although I mixed it up with OEM, which is "original equipment manufacturer".
What I think I meant was OEM, the OEM makes the mouse, companies can then sell the mouse with their logo on it. It all confuses me, really, but basically; OCZ doesn't make the mouse.
The mouse is made by someone else, OCZ then purchase the mouse with their logo on it.
While I don't know much about the mouse in question, off the bat I suspect the G500 is miles better. If you want a mouse you can bring to netcafes and you like the G500, get a G400. Same basic shape, better sensor(the G500 has some amount of hardware acceleration, the G400 doesn't) and it's so cheap it won't matter if it breaks or gets stolen compared to the more expensive G500.
If anyone can clarify the OEM/ODM stuff for me, please do so. I thought I had it down, but after reading again I'm not so sure..
