Melissa says they don't have the tooling for it, but they can do some modifications to make it possible for a $260 fee. :wacko:

I have a TON of these non-stepped, capslock sized, and weirdly phrased (i.e. RUB OUT etc.) keycaps from the grab bag in white on dark gray (retro)...is there a high demand for these? lol

Neither, it's how the tooling is used.

You can be a master, but with an improper tool there is only so much you can do.

Like with dremel bits - the job will get done, but it would've been a lot quicker and easier if you had the right attachment.

Just make it midnight so nobody can complain they're busy. Do a limit of 1 red esc, and 1 rgby per person. First come first served for posts dated 00:00 and after.

The thread will go up around 25 hours from now in the classifieds subforum.  PM timestamp will determine sale order.  There are some people on deskthority who are interested, so I'll be accepting PMs there as well.  For the initial flurry I'll limit the orders to one RGBY set per person.  If orders trail off quickly, I'll allow people to add additional sets.

We never got a picture of the prototype next to the final red esc. If they used the .015" instead of the .018" cutter then that would explain why these are smaller/less bold than vintage cherry.

That's what I thought. Which means that $260 fee IS to correct their incorrect tooling from round 3. That's bull**** if you ask me.
