Correct. That's because this thread is about the RACE , not about the PURE.

The Pure is a different keyboard. As far as I know, the Pure has not been released yet, at least not in mass production. From what I read around here, it's gonna be released soon. People say there will PROBABLY be a group buy here on GeekHack. If you don't want to rely on group buys because you can't wait, then use eBay, Taobao or Qtan's shop.

It's just easier with a wire puller, WASDKeyboards has them for $6, or free when you order a full 104 key replacement set.

You could just be a **** and go to Fry's/Micro Center, buy a Corsair Vengeance K60, get the keycap puller from there, and return the keyboard.

On topic though, any update on when these'll ship? I need to know because I'm moving mid-April so I'll most likely have to change my shipping address.

Paperclips worked great for me until I ordered a puller when I was already ordering other stuff.

Also, I don't think anyone should steal a puller from a Corsair keyboard box or anywhere else. Stealing = bad, immoral, unethical and illegal. Personally, I strongly recommend against stealing, lying, cheating, murder, arson... you get the idea.

Wow, you people need to lighten up. It was a joke. You do know Fry's employees always open up the box and check for anything missing before you return something, right? Not to mention the fact that the whole idea of buying and returning a keyboard for the sole purpose of getting the keycap puller is just absurd anyway... Seriously though, just find the biggest paper clip you can and make one. That's basically what my Filco one is. A paper clip with a branded handle.

My paper-clips were too stiff to be used for a key puller, wasted 20 minutes trying to mold one. The filco one and other similar key-pullers are thin/flexible enough to grab around larger keys like the right shift on most ANSI boards, and they do it without damaging the keys.

If you're buying enough boards / key-caps I'd just get one of the wire ones. Just makes things so much easier.

I'm going to buy a wire one when I order a massive amount of custiom PBT lasered keys from WASD later this year.

Until then, my paper clips (the really thick ones, I may add) have been working great for all my keypulling needs. What's wrong with the paperclip stiffness? MY only qualm is that (due to the design) It is sometimes hard to get it in under the escape key, because the case is close to the keycaps.
