I'm well aware of the dangers of such a group buy, but Vortex hasn't exactly been forthcoming with actual, real details about what's going on. They love to promise 'we will make perfect keyboard for YOU!' but when it comes to actually getting their products out there is a little to be desired.
that's becuase (as has become VERY obvious) they're not going to be the ones distributing it. they don't have much control over how people distribute their product, and clearly, minimal control over the production cycle... i'm guessing the runs they're making are JUST large enough to get into a manufacture that can afford them some price breaks to make these profitable, but not large enough to dictate a deliverable date. either that, or something unforeseen occurred, and i'm just talking outta my ass.
bottom line, vortex is VERY wise to not actually promise hard dates that they can't guarantee. that's just how these things go. that being said, it's worth waiting if it comes out with the desired quality, rather than having a product on time but sub-standard.
