For plate-mounted Costar stabilizers, you can install and remove them right from the plate. I only have Cherry's PCB-mounted stabilizers so I don't know what Cherry's plate-mounted stabilizers look like.

Is it the same with Cherry's plate-mounted stabilizers?

Hum, I think I found my answer here:

Looks like it is sandwiched between the plate and PCB, so you can't really remove Cherry's stabilizers without de-soldering every switch and separate the plate and the PCB first.

You just need to remove a single switch to remove the stabilizer with plate mounted cherry stabilizers.

Did ripster build a keyboard by himself....
I did swap the stabilizers multiple times just by removing the stabilized switch.
