STILL I will prefer it over getting another rubber dome, even if the rubber dome is high quality.

Was that a dig at Topre? :D

Actually I have to agree with what you said here up until the end.  You see ducky hate here because the audience here shells out for Filcos, Topres, specialty keycap sets, etc.  For somebody asking on like the Starcraft II forums or something "what's the cheapest, halfway-decent mechanical keyboard I can get?", the Ducky is probably a good enough answer.  The people _here_ generally do hate the Ducky and their reasons are good enough for the audience here.

The ducky with back lights is just 93USD compared to other back-lit mechanical keyboards that go for 140USD which is a good deal for some specially those first time mechanical keyboard buyers and people with tight budget. I know most argue poor quality but you should actually thank them for being one more player in the keyboard brands market. More players means more competition. More competition means prices are held down.

where the hell does a ducky shining go for a $93!!!!!
thats such a great deal!

In Singapore, we dont have shipping here (too small of a country)(30miles end to end)
Filco = USD$152
Ducky Shine = USD$152
Rosewill = USD$103^
CM = USD$103^
Corsair = USD$120^
Mionix = USD$160
Razer Ulitmate = USD$152
Steelseries = USD$140^
Leopold FC500R = USD$143

It's more sane for locals to get a Filco here. Small country = Terrible mark ups

the ducky 1087XM i had felt ridiculously cheap.

i know it's only a 50 dollar board but c'mon. i was terrified when i pulled the keycaps off because it bent so much i thought the casing was going to fall apart.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Keep in mind the MSRP for the Ducky XM is 1090 NT including tax. That's ~36USD.

Indeed. Though, Logitech don't need PCB and mechanical switches. I am personally a little amazed they can do a mechanical board so cheaply.

Not really. I was referring to the regular rubber domes like Arctosa and Lycosa and the other rubber dome keyboards.

I am not familiar with Topre switches... besides I hear the topre are extremely expensive. I think that 200USD for a keyboard is just already too outrageous. I'd buy something like that if it spews out gold every time I press a key.

we are talking about keyboards.

That's actually irrelevant. Good and bad are completely subjective regardless.
