I had a sig once but it's gone. It used to display an icon of a Kinesis. Just imagine that.

It would be nice if he posted pictures of the actual keyboard. My model F has a black metal bottom plate. It's even heavier than the model M. I believe model Fs also have capacitive switches instead of membrane.

If it's the original box, the board inside should be a Model F XT.

Same model can be seen on Clicky: http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/11066/subcatid/0/id/529211

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

They seem to be selling in the $40-50 range now that Soarer has made an easy conversion available.

I bought a couple last summer for $10-ish, but they seem to be much more desirable now.

Conversion? For the cable?
I'd like one but shipping is probably (as usual) prohibitive.

Shipping from US to Euro is approximately $50 for a standard keyboard.

Soarer's conversion uses the Teensy ($20, + small envelope shipped from Washington state) and converts the controller to a mini-USB-B plug. You have to do a little minor soldering, but it works well.

I have not done one on an XT, but you should be able to fabricate an outboard box if you have a female DIN connector.

On my projects, I mounted everything inside the case, but the XT has less room and an outboard box is more versatile.
