I've been waiting for two weeks now for my PS/2 to USB adapter to arrive from the 'ships from the US!' ebay seller, and I'm growing impatient.
I understand that some of these adapters are passive, and I'm wondering if it's worth just soldering this 6' beige USB lead I have laying around directly into the keyboard.
It would mean I can use the keyboard now, and would be more elegant than legoing adapters together (it's an AT connector)
Firstly, I'd like to know if this 'dumb' adapter idea is likely to work with a Focus FK-2001, or if it needs to have the extra electronics of a more complex adapter to work?
Secondly, if a simple rewire is likely to work, what are the pinouts of a passive adapter, so I can work out how to connect the USB lead?
