Though, it(FILCO) still somehow one of Chinese favorite standard.
They SS7G-fy it(the PLU is having same dimension as FILCO TKL).

Wow that's pretty bad.  The last Filco Camo (MX Brown) I had looked atrocious.  The silk screening looked as if it had been applied by someone in the midst of a full blown seizure...it was blurry and stretched.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the board before getting rid of it.

Something tells me google translate got this incorrect

"5 hair to sell me."

Unless the guy was offering to buy it for 5 hair. I didn't know hair was considered a currency over there.

Anyway, how does that hurt anything? Did it not come with the caps for those keys? I mean it looks stupid sure, but seems like a ...man I'm going to hate myself for using his words... "McRip Effect"

5hairs = 50cents in context. It being a normal term for Chinese(not only in China).
Apart from that, I also learnt that they call "knife"(dāo) as dollar and "rice"(mǐ) as informal context for currency.

The knives are mostly used when the currency is USD, probably a directly translation of "dollar" to "dao". In normal practice, they either go the formal way, yuan or the informal way, rice(so far only saw from forums, not sure if they apply it in real life).

Example:
A: How much you bought your new keyboard?
B: 100knives(USD)
A: So many rices(money)? Rice people(rich people).

Looks like photoshop to me.
You can see the from "Print Screen" the "re" part on the stem of the switch. I highly doubt pad-printing technology have gone far enough to disregard deformation of the pad from the height difference.

I'm sticking with ripster for this one.

Sending the keyboard after being fully assembled for pad-printing doesn't even make sense.
Plus Filco keys are coated after being printed on.
Coating the whole keyboard while being fully assembled?

Yeah, especially if you know how the pad printing process works.

I know how pad printing process works, but I am not fully familiar with the power of PS.
BTW, if that is a PS works, he must had did it with effort. The fonts are even lifted on the Cherry logo on the switch.

It remind me on an old quote, No Picture No Truth. But in this case it is got picture no truth.

The "keyboard" case looked funny, and the keys looked like they were all fully recessed in the case, as if they bottomed out and stayed down. So to me it looks like that was not an actual functional keyboard, but just a plastic frame to hold the keys in place.

Hi guys,

The picture is most likely NOT photoshoped.

I have come across many boards that have this from when the keys were printed. Many times they are printed when they are on the board.
I have also seen this on a number of other boards other than Filco.

It's not that common but certaily not as uncommon as you might think. If more of us took keys off our boards we would notice this on a some keys in random locations.
I commonly happen to find them on the bottom rows keys, like; ctr, windows, and Alt. Sometimes its very, very faint and hard to see.

I have also never found any evidence that this causes a problem of any kind.

Just thought you might like to know.

Considering that Filco keycaps are coated to protect the pad-printing, it's not logical to spray on the coating after the keyboard is fully assembled. That pretty much rules out the possibility.

I did a quick photoshop. I'm by no mean good at photoshop but this is my pathetic attempt.

Oh I just saw the video a few posts up. I was wondering what you guys were talking about.

Anywho, in the video you didn't see the actuall printing but you saw the motions of it. The pads never touched the keyboard, it was a test run.
Pads will usually bow by design.

The pic is probably not fake. You can see that the pad print is printed on the cherry logo (ie. it curve in and out with the surface). It would be very very difficult to do such thing with photoshop.

Filco have QC problem, Ripster in denial, and blames the OP. What a surprise?
