Thanks Tsangan. It really will depends on how many people get in on it and how many orders there are total. If we can fill 1 medium sized box, it will be very worth it.
IMHO is going to be less expensive to send the keycaps directly to each Aussie guy.This may do not apply if several guys live in the same city.
(Assuming the keycaps don't weigh over 500gs)
Just to give you some numbers, say we have 8 people (and 4 of those people bought 2 sets each), roughly filling 1 medium sized box with 12 sets. So that will be $49 postage to me, which equals $4.08 postage per set.
Auspos is $6.60 for regular parcel post for basically any sized box to basically anywhere in Australia (I tried postcodes to most major cities in most states). The smallest box costs $1.55, the largest we will need will cost at most $2.35 (probably fit like 5 sets).
So the total cost for the people that ordered 1 set would be: $12.24.
The total cost for the people that ordered 2 sets would be: $16.52.
This is just one example, and of course it'll change depending on if we get people in or not. If we don't fill a medium rate box and say have 10 sets combined, it only goes up by 82c per set ordered.
We also don't have to worry about it not fitting into the small flat rate box if anyone wanted to get addon kits, since the slightly bigger box costs us about 20-50c extra.
