Model M bolt mod disapointment

I pulled my model M apart. I was pretty careful, used an exacto chisel blade for the rivets.

This is what I found when I got it apart.

Any thoughts on what to do about it or if its usable?

There are several posts regarding fixing cracks in the barrel plate (I think it is called a "frame" by Unicomp) using various techniques involving epoxy.

Unicomp will sell you a new one pretty cheap, too.

Not the end of the world. Cheer up
"The company [Taylor Farms] made two (2) million-dollar donations: $1 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, which supports Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, and $1 million for MAGA Inc, a super PAC that supports Trump.
The $1 million to MAGA Inc was made on March 25, 2025, just just six days after the FDA announced it was delaying the implementation of its “Food Traceability Rule” by 30 months."
