I currently have a qpad mk-50 with red switches. and i want to change the switches to blues. So I wonder if Ican do that without soldering? aka just removing the keycap and remove the switch with a screwdriver?

EDIT: (mk-50 has the same structure as the XArmor keyboards)

I think the mk-50 is plate mounted so, no.

If it's plate mounted, you'll have to desolder the switches to change the stems. As far as I know, the only KB that breaks this rule is the upcoming phantom.

Your best bet would probably be to sell it and buy one with blues.

it is plate mounted, aka. you can't remove the switches without desoldering.

And there's no room to detach the switch top from the housing like on the phantom plates. Tukkez is right: You'll need to break out the hot air gun (Or other desoldering method of choice).

That black thing surrounding the switches is the metal plate. If you saw a PCB (similar to a motherboard for instance) and could see the entire switch, that's PCB mounted.
