I would say you have a point if I had already shipped the keys and then put the leftovers on sale like a retailer would. When you go to a store, you buy whatever if the price is satisfactory, and though you might be irritated if you come back a week later and its on sale, but the sale wasn't happening when you bought it so meh right? I mean if you were really butthurt, you could return the item if possible, and then buy it back at the discounted price. The difference here is that nobody's gotten the stuff yet. If we were all pre-ordering Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm, and Gamestop thought the price was going to be $60, and everyone put that down as a deposit, but it turns out Blizzard is releasing it for $30, then Gamestop would be expected to refund the difference. Make sense? Like I said earlier, I won't be discounting the last sets I'm having trouble selling further than the $20, even though everyone will have gotten their keys by that point, but that's a personal choice since the goal isn't for me to make money off of SP's mistake, its to be as pragmatic and fair as possible to all parties.

ragnorock is not obligated to give back any money to SP since it was their mistake to begin with...
technically ~85 red mod sets are rags and he can do whatever he pleases with them.
he is choosing to sell them for $20 and is being nice and is offering to donate some of the proceeds to SP since he feels bad.

i don't recall any of previous GB errors by SP getting bailed out. (this may not be entirely true but PUBLICLY it is)

now lets understand that the error made by SP this particular time is more harmful than the previous errors but this is probably also the SAME REASON that rag is even offering to donate proceeds in the first place...

and something to think about: rag could have been a douchbag and not said anything at all to us and just gone to another forum to sell these mod sets

Thanks for saying that, actually means a lot and even though not all of it is correct, you said other things that I was having a really hard time putting into words.

I could have done that, and yeah I could have thrown them up on eBay, it would have taken a while but I could have certainly made a few grand off of it. However I already bought the leftovers I have been selling to make the money I wanted in exchange for my time. I don't need any more, thus why I'm not trying to do that. Also I just now realized how long its going to take me to send out refunds, so yeah demik, I think 20% by the end of it all is pretty fair if I get that much.

That's a whole lot of drama. I say Ragnarock just says "FUCK IT!" and moves on with his life. SP is the one that made yet another mistake here. Stop blaming Ragnorock for trying to figure out the good guy way of doing it without it hurting his own wallet.
If you do a group buy this size without making a dollar you are as dumb as me giving away all my stuff.

I'd be sad if the groupbuy organiser didn't make a little bit of money as they have to do so much work behind the scenes. I understand that it is for the community but you can't expect people to run these things without some compensation for doing so.

Yes, that is correct. Which will be next Friday-Saturday. Potentially earlier depending on how fast SP can make them. Actually the GeekHack keys are already in the mail and should get here today, so I can already throw those in the base kits when I take out the red mods.

Well now I absolutely have to have a tsangan kit and a white on red mod kit. I don't even remember why I changed my order to not include those.

Tsangan only. For some reason I had it in my head that both the mod kits came with spacebars too, but neither of them did.

Yeah you've got till sometime mid-late next week when I start packing boxes. I did end up buying 10 of the accident red sets, so you can have at one if you want, I doubt they'll move that fast. If they do, then I'll just buy more since I still have them with me lol. No ISO shifts though, only bought enough kits for those that were in the GB... though since it comes with all 3 colors, it's not impossible to convince one of the buyers of the ISO kit to part with that key if they never bought the modifers to go with it. Know what I mean?

Btw, here's some quick color correction. I'm not too worried about it because I'm going to do a proper photoshoot of everything when I can show everyone what they're actually getting. I've gotten a lot of messages from people suddenly confused over whether they're getting red keys in the base sets. (They're not.) Full size is in the same album I posted before all the drama.

Thanks for the support guys, its what keeps me from giving up when stuff like the recent drama happens. I'll definitely keep it up, I'm working on some pretty sweet stuff for you guys coming up very soon! I promise I'll get everything shipped out this week even if it means I don't get much sleep.
