Okay so who wants ****ty cell phone pictures of the sets? You too? Yeah I thought so. Here you go. Double check and see if you notice any errors, the earlier we catch any of them the better. Yeah it looks like they didn't do an inverse GH key like I asked, but imo no big deal. They've actually been losing money on the orders they've been doing for GH prior to the recent price increase so I've been trying to avoid complaints. Also bear in mind that these are quick shots with a cell phone camera, and color balance is almost assuredly off. I'll do my best to take appropriate pictures when they get to me, these are just teasers!

Rag, I don't think you'd be complaining too much to ask Melissa to do the inverse GH key. I know quite a few people here were really looking forward to having a white on red GH key as part of that set.

It's probably just my eyes playing tricks on me, but the legends on the stepped caps lock(s) looks weird.

I'm sad my geek hack key cap collection won't grow by one more, but I am really looking forward to getting this set. Let's hope they haven't made big mistakes that will delay the sets from going out.

No, my point is that in every thread where something goes wrong the usual tone is "aw that sucks, its okay" except for you who is like "well we deserve justice!" I get that you want things to be done perfect, but its painfully obvious that your standards are above the rest. Reminds me of Ripster, jus sayin'.

Anyways, Melissa is sending out the correct keys too, so it works out that you get a free key, not an incorrect one.


Edit: @ Glissant, she said they were fine, I'll let you decide for sure but the alignment is apparently the same as every other stepped caps, same mold.

If SP keeps losing money doing these group buys for us, they're going to price it out of what we can afford, which I'm sure nobody here wants. We're already looking at $100 per PBT TKL set @ 100 orders, even after I negotiated a reduced price increase... because it was going to be $120-130. Pretty sure doubleshots are going to be in the $60-70 range @200 orders now too, but I haven't gotten those numbers recently.

The red looks dark as hell..but it's probably the cell phone picture quality that's screwing up color accuracy.  Rag, didn't you end up going with the same shade of red that the original red on white GH key had?

I think the red looks a bit darker than the color swatch indicated, but its much better than the alternative of having RA which would have been way too bright. The color looks "strong" with good contrast but dark enough that it should look badass vs a distraction. I'm not sure what red the original red on white GH key had, but this one was RBV on WFK, so it is probably different.

I tried that one already last week, I have to order a new MOQ, so no, its not possible unless you guys want to start up a new gb for em. Lots of people were looking for them when I was selling leftovers, so next time around I'll order extra to go with them. It was just difficult to gauge how many people would want them since they came in 3 different colors, know what I mean?

I think SP loses money because they keep screwing up, obviously they aren't giving us prices that lose them money from the start (unless they are truly a stupid company).  How many times have they screwed up in the recent group buys?  CCnG, Moogle R3, Portal Modifiers, and Riddlers are the ones I can remember from my short time at GH.  Some of the screw ups are pretty major, i.e. wrong profile for keys or wrong colors used.  That kind of **** should never happen.  I would think most professional companies would fire/repriemand whoever keeps making mistakes that cost the company money and put in checks to make sure stuff is done right the first time.  The time spent double checking everything before starting full production would pay for itself in mistakes prevented, but it seems like SP doesn't want to do that.

Yeah, we are not a major company with big contracts.  But we are paying customers, **** should be done right.  We understand if the cost increase is due to an increase in cost of materials, but if the increase in cost is due to their stupidity that's just screwed up.

well to be fair, CCnG has been pretty good so far.

aside from miscommunication on SP's part (center stemmed caps lock) the only problem they had was the capslock legend

+1.  My CCnG set is absolutely perfect, no crooked R3 caps like the Rag set.  Well, perfect other than the recurring "special" Tab legend that I see made it's way into RA unfortunately.  All good though, soon we will have Cherry replica legends and I won't be able to complain anymore!

I didn't notice that until you said it but I am not a fan of that either. Not a deal breaker in my mind but I would like them to be closer together if possible.

The tab key doesn't bother me at all.  I'm not knocking any of you guys....but it amazes me at how anal geekhackers can be with keycaps. 

It looks like the word "Tab" is positioned maybe 1mm too high.  The tab arrows look like they are both positioned evenly (vertical wise) on the keycap. It doesn't bother me though.

I think it's one of those things that I never would have noticed on my own but once someone pointed it out I could see it. Like I said it doesn't really bother me it just looks unlike any tab key I have ever seen. Also Rag asked us to look out for any problems so simply noting that the tab key looks off from the original picture it can't hurt.(when I say original pic I'm talking about the mock up not RA round 1 with uranium's legends)

All else aside I love the way these look and can't wait to get them.

I have the feeling the big categorising of people (Yes, that's what we are. I know, big shock, right?) started with GH's temporary residence at DT where some, let's say confrontations, took place.
Seems it have carried over here, too.

The tab caught my eye because both mockup and pics of round 1 showed variant 2 I posted earlier.
It doesn't bother me that much, but in my eyes it's still "off" (looking at it drastically). That's all.
If, however, this off tab is the standard Wyse font so be it. I couldn't find any older SP's Wyse sets to compare.

I was just thinking the same thing! I think Rag mentioned there are extras available, but he's waiting on a couple stragglers who haven't paid yet.
