I'd love to have a bull-barrel .22 target pistol, but I don't. Or an Automag-IV in 10mm magnum ... don't.
What I have (no pics right now) is a rifle, currently in .308 winchester, whose story places it in the spanish-american war. But to several who've looked at it, the full-length wood stock says "WWI mauser" -- but if so, it doesn't look precisely like any other WWI mauser I see in books. Swedish, and one other look close but the action is wrong. Or the bolt is right but the stock is clearly wrong.
Maybe it's the equivalent of a ghetto green? Parts bin A, parts bin B, a little lube, some scuff marks ...
I do have a .22 rifle ... a marlin 60, with a scope that, while consistent, is also precisely misaligned. At 50yds you hold three inches up, and about 1 and change to the left. Then you hit your target dead on.
