Woah, sweet glock! I was really having trouble deciding between the 17 and the 19 for an RMR host, ended up going with the 17 because it fits my hand a little better. I love how the 19 looks with an RMR though. Coupled with the stippling and front slide serrations, that's probably one of the most beautiful glocks I've ever seen  ;D

How do you like that Salient trigger? I'm thinking about getting that or the Zev Fulcrum for my 17L.

Unfortunately I have not shot it yet wit the salient trigger I get to pick it up next week, but I will provide feedback when I do.

I was planning to pick up the zev fulcrum trigger also for my Glock 30s also to compare...

Also same guy I bought this G19 from had a matching 17L he was selling also too... I was tempted on buying both but passed on the G17L

Show Image

That 17L is beautiful. I wish the 24 wasn't so rare.

Actually mine came stock with the Steel Serrated trigger. Unfortunately, no trigger job. I haven't really had the money to do anything to do with guns the past year. However, the profile is the same as newer style recurve trigger that come stock in most CZ's, like the compact model.

Jpm, what kind of grip is on your G19?

It's a stipple job done by Enhanced Precision Products... really good work. Grip is so much better than the stock Gen3 grip.

You read my mind... I was thinking of getting a P30 but will wait til this comes out and try it out... then decide between the two.

Side note, I was able to hold the new SIG P320 ,,,, trigger was not bad for a striker fired pistol out of the box ( but didn't like the high bore axis of it).

Yeah, dood. I really want a VP9, as I really want to own a striker fired pistol along with a DA/SA. HK and striker fired? Yes please! It's that or a USP45.

I don't know how I feel about a Sig that's striker fired... And I know what you mean about the high bore axis. I've got a lot of experience with a Sig P239 (bro's carry piece), and that thing is tall (compared to my CZ anyway). It's all forgivable though... the triggers on premium Sigs are just so damn amazing... The single action on my bro's P239 was unbeatable.

Have you though about the HK45 instead of a USP45.... funny is the price on both of those are about the same now.

Friend just got a HK45 and cant wait to shoot it.... everyone has nothing but good things to say about it.

I'm just looking forward to the VP9 trigger which sounds like its pretty good out of the box... I was thinking of getting a Walther PPQ since everyone talks up that trigger also, but it sounds like the HK is as good and looks better..  :p

I also don't mind about the price on it also... hahahaha

OMG.. I literally typed something about the PPQ in my previous post but thought it was irrelevant so I erased it... maybe I really am reading your mind... I wrote, I was considering the PPQ before the VP9 because of the trigger, but decided against it because it was kind of ugly, IMO. Wow...

I have considered the HK45 over the USP because of the slimmer grip (I have small-ish hands), but decided to go with USP because of the 2 extra rounds, and it's just more tacti-cool... The USP is just so famous and renown, I just kind of want it. It helps that it's one seriously badass gun too.

The trigger, from what I've seen, on the VP9 is spectacular for out of box, which is perfect for me because I don't usually spend the extra money to get it modded and tweaked by gunsmiths. Being broke sux :P

I got a package today. Image dump inbound  :))

More

My G17 slide came back from ATEi

With my 17L

With all my dad's 9mm Glocks

With my AR and limited edition Wyoming PMAG

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. ATEi's turnaround time was even quicker than I expected and the 6.5 MOA dot is the perfect size for a handgun optic. Can't wait to take this thing out to the range.

Beautiful collection you and your dad have.... I can never get enough of glock goodness...  :thumb:

Your RMR'd G17 turned out great, looked like it came out the factory like that .. ( did you have to have the slide refinished also after the work?)

Also love the taran tactical baseplates... I wish I could run those in California, but unfortunately we cant  :(

Wait til you get a trigger on that G17 of yours and it'll be perfect.... also after you run that RMR you'll want RMR's on all your glocks afterwards... or else that's how I feel.. hahahaha

Let us know how it shoots and it looks like your gonna have a good 3-gun season this year  ;D

Tell me about it.... CZ customization can be addicting... I blame mmmmty for that.

I went from wanting just a plain SP01 with a safety:

Thanks! I actually didn't get the slide refinished, I called them up beforehand and asked about it and they said it wouldn't be necessary as long as I was only doing the RMR cut, and they were right, I can't tell that there's any unfinished area at all.

The first time I put those baseplates on I could hardly believe that they add 6 rounds, fitting 23 rounds into a 3 gun legal size magazine is just crazy  :))

Managed to get out to the range today even though it was raining and got it sighted in. Target acquisition is so quick, I think I'm in love.  :p

I got a package today. Image dump inbound  :))

My G17 slide came back from ATEi

]

That's great they didn't have to refinish the slide.. definitely saved some money there...

Told you would love that RMR...  :thumb: Time to add one to that G17L and that thing is going to be a beast.

I'll start with guns I've owned and foolishly sold.

Kimber Desert Warrior 1911 (you will forever be missed)
DPMS LR-308
Sig Sauer P250 in 9mm

Now onto the guns that I currently own.

Springfield XDS in .45 acp (with extended magazines)
Benelli SuperNova Tactical Pump (stock....for now)

Future buys (I hope)!

Custom built AR15 or AR10 (haven't decided yet)
Remington 700 to later be fitted into an Accuracy International folding stock.

Beautiful setup .....  :thumb:

While not a firearm, just got a new piece of gear which I've been wearing this whole week and love...

Wanted a new belt which I could wear everyday and also double up as a training / gear belt and I found it in the Ares Gear Aegis Belt .... sold all my old belts which were cobra buckle belts, which while they were perfectly fine the cobra buckle sometimes was not that easy to loop through some pants and loading gear on it was a pain also... also the cobra buckle was not very suitable for everyday wear at work.

The aegis solves all these issues while also being a very good everyday belt, I was worried it would be too stiff for everyday wear but that wasn't the case...... Definitely pricey but since it will be an everyday belt, I thought it was worth it.

No no, thank YOU for the beautiful pictures :P Yeah dood... those red base plates are so beautiful... I wish I could customize my CZ like that... but customizing CZ's cost way too much for my bank account :(

AND DON'T TEASE/TEMPT ME! I really want to shoot them :P

Tell me about it.... CZ customization can be addicting... I blame mmmmty for that.

I went from wanting just a plain SP01 with a safety:

To this ACCU Shadow BLK

Oh gawd... The things I'd do to get an ACCU Shadow.. That thing must be a dream to shoot... Shooting would be a dream... I haven't shot in over a year... Don't hate me... Money is tight :P I know that if I started customizing CZ's... I'll start justifying the cost of it, and I'll keep doing it... next thing I'll know, I'll literally be broke :'(

God, you guys seriously have some beautiful guns and wonderful photos.

I've been looking at Ares Gear belts for something to put a holster on when I don't want to carry around my entire 3 gun rig. I wear the 5.11 trainer belt for general use but it's not quite stiff enough for putting a holster on. Do you think if I'm going to usually keep the same gear on the belt that the Ranger belt would be a better choice than the Aegis, or are they roughly equal?

The ranger and aegis, are both equal in stiffness since the belt is made from the same material. I give the nod to the Aegis for easier removal than the ranger ( I never had the ranger but had similar belts in design and the aegis is way easier to get on an off).

If you want a stiffer belt you can also get the aegis enhanced which gives a third layer for added stiffness...

what gear do you carry on your 3-gun setup?

Sounds like the Aegis is probably a better choice then. That cobra buckle sure is cool looking though!  :))

On my 3gun belt I have a holster, double pistol mag pouch, rifle mag pouch, and four 4rd shell caddies. Planning on adding some load-two rigs to it once I figure out which ones I want to buy, so my belt is pretty well stuffed.

Sounds like you have a lot on the your belt so to be on the safe side I would get the enhanced.

Also I prefer the aegis since its easier to loop thru belt loops, so if you don't do that then ranger would be fine also. For me the extra cost of the aegis for looping it through my pant loops was worth it...

With that said I might try a ranger since your right that cobra belt does look cool  :thumb: but if I could only have one belt it would be the aegis.

Happy Belated 4th of July.....

Some glock goodness... my new Glock 30S.

After selling my G21 Gen4, I believe this is the perfect size .45 ACP glock for me. Same size as my favorite size glock , G19.

Nice! I've never held a 30S but I like the form factor of the 30 and I imagine it is even better with the thinner slide.

That's with the magazine baseplate that it's the same size as the Glock 19, right?

Never really shot 9mm, ever. Shot a Glock 21 Gen 4 (Prefer it to the 1911, honestly. I know, heresy), shot a Glock 23 (touch too small on the handle), Shot a P226 in .40 S&W, but never a 9mm. Anyone care to compare it to .40 S&W (say, G23 to G19)? I'd like to know if it moves about differently or if it is really just the same recoil, only less.

So what do you people do with your guns? Fire them at shooting ranges? Keep them for show? Eventual self-protection?

The only Sig I've ever fired was a P229 in 9mm, but in the Glock 17 and 22 (and likewise the 19 and 23) I found the .40 to be a little more snappy than the 9mm. The recoil impulse itself was roughly equal, but it felt a little more aggressive in the .40 to me.

As someone who has never even looked at purchasing a firearm, what's ballpark for a nice middle tier pistol?
