Now I am waiting for some nice DSA caps, maybe I'll buy more stuff from epzy... like his Miami set which probably goes very well with this :D

I got an Apple Aluminium Keyboard... I know, I know. I never thought I would buy one of these monstrosities.
I got it only for research purposes, to find out which key codes it sends. I paid $3.

Raspberry Pi arrived yesterday. Supposedly pre-loaded with NOOBS but it won't boot. Irritated that I'll have to play around with it to try and get it to work.

Are you talking for gaming, general use, or both?

Have you ever seen pro FPS players mice settings? Fatal1ty has his DPI turned way down, it takes really large arm/hand movements but your accuracy is enhanced once you get used to it. After I saw his settings at one Quakecon I dropped my DPI also and was able to actually kill him once.

Now for RTS gaming it may be completely different, but I still like a medium setting so I can get around the screen easily but not overshoot/miss things with too much sensitivity.

If for FPS I turn way the **** down, but I don't play FPS anymore.

I use 1:1 5700 DPI consistently for general browsing, dota, starcraft, osu on 1080 (3 mons). I don't move my arm or wrists really at all, pure finger control

Shame about the space, but understandable :))

Looks good with black, but I think I still prefer pearl/pebble.

Black keycaps on SSK?  Sounds interesting!

Pics appreciated when you have the chance, thanks :)

Show Image

quickpic of them both...
looking closely, the black one has m13 caps lol

Shame about the space, but understandable :))

Looks good with black, but I think I still prefer pearl/pebble.

Thanks for that!

I think an all black SSK with the white on black caps would be flipping sweet, perhaps this exists, I'm not that into BS.

Paint it?

I guess it would be like a white on black modern Unicomp board, but with black keycaps.

How is it possible to even send 3 dead, factory made mini USB cables?

Guess I wasn't quite clear.

My cable died.
The first replacement cable was the wrong part number, didn't fit in the routing tracks on my QFR.
The second replacement cable got lost in the mail (according to CM) or never got shipped (I never got any notification)
The third replacement cable both arrived at my house and fits physically in my keyboard. It may summon Satan from the underworld but at this point it would be a small price to pay :P

I would just buy any random cable from ebay for $2.....but I guess if you really like CM you would want all CM.....you get to the point where you just replace the stock cable with a custom one, and poof, all that time is wasted

Like rowdy said, I had a spare cable. I just figured if they would send me one, I might as well get one. As it is, I ended up with two, so bonus. If I'd had to pay I wouldn't have bothered.

Psh who needs multiple cables? All I need is three (forever) one for the board, one for the numpad, and another for whatever reason I may need it for. All custom cables (preferably double sleeved)

Double sleeved cables will never fit in ANY keyboard routing hole :P

Blue Snowball mic, printed red Topre esc, Topre spacebars, blank red Topre esc, Cherry doubleshot esc and USB connectors. Did not expect the mic to be this big, I love it - sounds great. The mic even looks small in the pic I posted... looks much bigger IRL, haha.

Some translucent orange on white keys and business card from the illustrious Maker of i3oilers.
An LED tester as seen on geekhack's  "WDYGITMT" post, and a bag of alps masquerading as an M3501.

And here is a potato pic of the cherry replica in action, almost complete.

Looks good with black, but I think I still prefer pearl/pebble.

Thanks for that!

Yeah I much prefer the preal/pebble one as well, that's the one I'm going to be using. I wish the black one came with the original caps but it's no biggie

Thinking about it...I'm not even sure i'm going to use two, so I may put the black one up for sale or trade

think anyone would want it?
