Click for more!! ;D

I am damn jealous, bro. Amazing find! Are you gonna leave the keycaps on the original board or put them on something else?

Some nice WoB Cherry doubleshots off a G81.

V. nice. Here is a good deal on the rest of the parts you need: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121324598994?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Been watching that auction for a while.

I'll probably try and get an ISO G80 PCB to put in the Olivetti case, and keep the keycaps on that.

I got a bunch of stuff all at once today. Sorry for the potato pix  :p

1. A few sheets of switch stickers from TechKeys.

2. A bunch of crystal meth caps.

3. Cyrillic GMK set from Originative.

Contrary to their website, it did come with ISO keys:

4. Topre Candy Corn, one of the few novelty caps I've ever wanted.

Sherry still doesn't know what ISO is apparently. If those are the only two 'ISO' keys you get then you're still missing a key! He did the same thing with Dolch.

Dude, you are right. Never having owned an ISO board, that didn't even occur to me. Even if you put the tilde next to Enter and added the Esc key, aside from having nonstandard legend placement, you'd still need a short left shift.

Isn't ISO 4 keys?

Seems I actually forgot about the left shift too. Dolch was missing 1 key - the key that goes next to the enter.

That set is missing two keys. Short left shift AND the key that goes next to the enter. You basically have a pointless enter+extra key. WP Sherry.

To give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he has the no-ISO message on the product page since it only has 2 of the needed keys. The product image does show these 2 ISO keys despite the message (and not the other 2), but my initial interpretation of the message was that I'd get 0 ISO keys. If you think of it that way, it's like glass half full....

I didn't get ISO keys either. I forget who I was explaining that to, but I only got the enter and the /:

My Olivetti set came with the /: and a blank, same with the skidata. Those caps are since lost, though.

I don't have a 4k monitor lol. But I can upscale my desktop to 4k, and downscale it to fit on 1080p. It's called super sampling :P It's mostly used for games -- also makes text impossible to read.

:O

at least calvins1 is not as hurt anymore :D

EDIT:

I acutally discovered something rather horrible about 4K monitors.  if anyone's interested:

on my current system: 4K 30Hz, intel nuc with hd graphics, and windows 8 w/ chrome regular channel and firefox aurora channel

when viewing twitch, the flash player scales with the browser window, so things get HUGE.  when the quality is set to source/best and you're NOT in full-screen mode, it seems like the flash plugin uses CPU and system memory to do all playback.  that means that you end up INSTANTLY hitting 1.2GB on that tab.  this can crash your browser and cause a huge memory 'reset' as the OS kills the browser processes.

when you ARE in fullscreen mode, things seem to be delegated to the GPU, which even for an iGPU, can handle things using much less memory.

all this said, I'm not sure if it's a specific issue with my setup.

I think it's just your setup...4k monitor on a NUC. Who does that?
