You can get them on ebay for nothing.

Oh wow I figured they were cheap but not that cheap.
I tried looking for them before I remembered what the phrase was and could only find information on planes

Those key chains are silly. I never got why sport bike riders used them. It's like, you kinda want to insert your key before flight and not remove it.

Anyway. Awesome pics as usual.

The proper use for them is on planes either during maintenance or while we build them. Many parts are built with safety pins or safety equipment. When inserted, the engine won't start. So we have pins with those huge remove before flight tags to make sure people know the safety's on.

As an intern, I wanted a real one so bad but I couldn't get a hold of one :(.

As a fun fact, Nike apparently sold one of their shoes with the tag. I was stopped in a store and asked about my remove before flight tag on my backpack. I got mine at the National Air Force museum in Dayton.

For some reason it never registered with me that these go on keys. I only ever saw one on a backpack and thought that it was a joke about how not to use a parachute.

Yeah that's exactly it. Which is why I never understood why people used them on their bike/car keys.

Paid some Geekhack debts (read: invoices) and got me some lights for above the dinner table that I wanted for a long time.
Really pleased with the look. :)

Oh, and they can change colour as well. ;)

Fun mail day!

The scenario of "at first I hated her, but ended up growing to love her." Finally, my 87UB 55g!

I can now return the white 87U 55g back to my cousin. He's starting to miss his. I can take off my classic reapers and rustler off it and put it on my own :))

Basically Stock, unadulterated, none of that Novatouch stem, honest, cup rubber goodness. Only thing I've done was swap to a PBT spacebar. Good thing I got some during Matt3o's GB

HHKB SoonTM ...

And ... HolyOOPs aluminum 3 part keypuller.

Can hold a Topre and MX stem on the bottom of the puller

MX cross/holder on inner portion of mid section. Have to file it down a bit on some parts as its not completely even on all sides to snugly hold a MX cap.

All put together.

I believe these are still available on taobao.
