Not exactly today, but I got this on Thursday or Friday and worked on it yesterday. It was quite filthy and needed a lot of cleaning. I also had to drill out the stabilizers since the stabilizer post on the solid one piece caps flares and would get jammed in the stabilizer insert (what genius at Unicomp came up with that one?). I'm a bit disappointed that only the space bar has a stabilizing wire, but the quality isn't bad. Not as good as the original Model Ms, but not bad. The case actually feels more solid than the later generation Ms I've seen.
It's not perfect, but overall it turned out well. And yes, I realize the Backspace key is the wrong color, but I dyed them based on the color the came off the board. For some reason, Backspace was the cream color instead of beige.
The case was the hardest to dye and I had to add hot water from time to time. It took probably a good 6 hours to get it that color. I don't know it it helped, but I did add some white vinegar to it.
