Its so worth it. I fell in love with mine. I never really cared about photos (Especially of my self), but taking photos and trying to get artsy with it, is fun as hell.

I found my self wanting to walk around and take photos downtown just so I can use After Effects on the pictures.

I am always taking pictures of the girlfriend when we go out also. I like to find cool angles and adjust with the aperture to get cool effects. She loves it.

All this because I wanted to take nicer photos of my keyboards lol.

Don't get me wrong; I want to get a good camera. I've had a Canon Rebel as a starter on my Amazon Wish List for about a decade now, but it always gets pushed back due to other purchases. I'm sure I could've purchased hundreds of cameras with the money I've spent these years. I guess I just gotta halt other purchases until I get a good camera.

Don't get me wrong; I want to get a good camera. I've had a Canon Rebel as a starter on my Amazon Wish List for about a decade now, but it always gets pushed back due to other purchases. I'm sure I could've purchased hundreds of cameras with the money I've spent these years. I guess I just gotta halt other purchases until I get a good camera.

Cameras are not that bad. Ebay is loaded with good deals.

Lens is where it gets expensive lol.

But for a starter lens a 50mm 1.8f will be perfect.

Sell a board and buy one!

Still waiting for stuff to complete my 1800. Will use the case from the Raptor together with the nicely worn switches from the 1800HAD (was considering the Gaterons, but worn, lubed up, ≈60g blacks are just better imho) and hyperfuse once it all arrives and I've got the time to solder (and it's warm enough outside so that I can have an open window – so it may take a while).

I am loving that NTC KB-6851EA. Digging that layout, even with the goofy arrow setup. Are you going to swap the switches on that or just leave it stock?

I'm planning on keeping it stock. Mostly because the only other Alps switches I've got are some cream damped from an AEK2 an I find that I prefer these clicky whites. I also rather like the layout, despite the quirkyness on the right hand side. No fan of the arrow-layout, but the up-arrow makes for a perfect HHKB-esque Fn.

Swap in some Matias Quiet switches!

But it's all good. Enjoy the board

I'll reset the CATRAM tonight and give it a second go. If that doesn't work, my backup plan is to just get a second roomba, weaponize them both and have them battle.

Why do you want to use the raptor case bro? Is it because of the color of the case or is it because the raptor case have better build? Really nice pic tho love it
