I'm jelly. That should clean up very nicely and will be easy to convert to USB.

Hopefully that's the case! The one thing that makes me nervous is cleaning the caps since the APL front legends are printed, not double shot.  I tried throwing some of the black splotchy keys in an ultrasonic cleaner last night with some denture tabs and dish soap, and the dirt came right off but those matte-looking splotches are still there so I'm not really sure what the best method would be to attack that.

Huh. I didn't know they used MX Blues.

I was thinking of getting a used Amiga and restoring it so I can play the games.

Just in case you weren't aware, that C64x is not an original Commodore, but a Intel based PC replica made around 2011.  That's the reason for the CherryMX switches.

Incidentally, the original Commodore's used a kind of Mitsumi switch.

I knew I mightve been wrong but I was totally too lazy to look it up. If I read carefully I would've spotted the "x."

And I remember that 2011 remake, too. I had kept looking out for pre-orders in the US and they kept getting postponed because the maker passed away, and then I lost interest in it.

What a beaute! I've always found that blue/grey to be one of the nicest color palettes for keycaps.

Is the only difference between the two just the media keys above the numpad cluster?

Is the only difference between the two just the media keys above the numpad cluster?

one is APC + Silent version (which one got media key)
the other is normal version (can use Realforce software to change the color of LED indicator)
