The only clack I really want is the mint gum for myself and I've been trying to get a depth black for a gift. Maybe one day someone will give me the chance to buy one or trade it for a reasonable price. Unless you have brute force money to bully your way into the clack game or a lot of really generous friends with clacks or deliver clacks mail then patience and stupid blind luck seem to be the only avenues

Yes sir!

I got a Topre one in the MK sale, and ended up trading it for some MX stuff (but not a mkII).

Sometimes I wish I had just bought a black HHKB to put it on.   :):):))

This hobby has reached elitist level, sigh!

This hobby really does annoy the crap out of me. But I now only look for caps for a specific keyset, this is my latest rule to stop me hunting down every cap made like a crazy person.

I don't think it's elitist though (bring out the pitch forks), it took me a while to build a collection, these were just a lucky find. It all started with me going bonkers over that Mr Friday on naasfu's classifieds!

Anyway... Not trying to be elite, just playing with new lenses :)

Probably not a good analogy, but it used to cost like an iPhone but now they are Apple Watch Gold Edition elitist level.

These should be discussed over at Therapy thread but they don't have this level of therapy, do they?

Not a fan of these prices as well but people selling them on eBay would probably be one of the main reasons of the price skyrocketing.

I thought I would upload some pics here that will display similar caps that will show UV damage as well as the different styles clack makes his skulls with that I recently noticed.

UV damage/yellowing is quite noticable on the tris on the top row. The OG (MX) seems to have the most UV damage as the face is a lot more yellowed which is then followed by the Salute (MX). The OG (Topre) was very well taken care of and it is actually still quite white.

Some of the skulls have some varying thickness. Candycorn + enviro seems to have a much thinner face in comparison to the other older tris however I have seen some older skulls with thin skulls also so perhaps he could put either a thin or a thicker face on the skulls as he pleases. I noticed that my candycorns do look quite different on the yellow part though the orange is almost exactly the same so i assume they might have been made in different batches.

I never count - I just forget.

Then I have a nice surprise one day in the future.

I just hope CC is well, or getting better :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

About mid-way through. I have to admit I'm getting a little bit peeved at the lack of updates considering he's been mailing caps in the last month. Just give us an update CC and all will be well!

Great pics, 64rky!

That one you set as your profile pic captures that cap so well. I feel like that's a really hard clack to capture too.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Those eyes on the MKII are actually reflective, it's eerie.

Your pictures made me realize that the MKII has pupils, completely blew my mind.

Yeah it's the little things about caps like this that really set them apart.

Which caused me to see what is so awesome to cause one mind to be blown and other blown mind blown. Which blew my mind. And then I realized I used to have one and never noticed that. Which made me sad.
I'm back.
